Never seen Dirty Dancing (yeah, I know) but damn if that wasn't one of the best '80s ballads. Jennifer Warnes! Bill Medley! TALENT! So much warm fuzzy nostalgia.

Bill does the song with his daughter in concert now. I think Daryl Hall and Kim Carnes also turned down the song. Donna was going to be paired up with her husbands Brooklyn dreams bandmate Joe Esposito but mentioned above turned it down. Medley said no because he wasn’t too enthusiastic about the song and his wife was about to have their daughter. I think both medley and warnes came on at the last minute. I wonder if Donna would’ve reconsidered if Hall or Medley were attached to it.

This song is absolutely not a ballad.
