How about some ugly male movie stars?

I was watching a Wallace Beery movie, and he looked monstrously ugly. Who is up there with Beery? Edward G. Robinson?

by Anonymousreply 33September 28, 2024 3:22 AM

Samuel L Jackson. Though he’s not ugly ugly but not particularly attractive. Same with Tim Robbins.

by Anonymousreply 1September 28, 2024 1:20 AM

Kevin Bacon. He has a pig snout for a nose. Never found him hot, but I hear he’s a nice guy.

by Anonymousreply 4September 28, 2024 1:22 AM

How about that Ethel Merman guy in "Call Me Madam"?

by Anonymousreply 5September 28, 2024 1:28 AM

Oh wow, such different tastes, Kevin Bacon is still very hot and i found Tim Robbins kind of cute.

Conversely i am baffled by the admiration here on Walton Goggins, a minor version of the also not hot Jack Nicholson (lookswise).

by Anonymousreply 6September 28, 2024 1:33 AM

by Anonymousreply 7September 28, 2024 1:35 AM

by Anonymousreply 9September 28, 2024 1:41 AM

Edward G. Robinson was a very nice guy. Wallace Beery, not so much.

Buscemi

by Anonymousreply 11September 28, 2024 1:46 AM

by Anonymousreply 12September 28, 2024 1:48 AM

R2- Many years ago my friend said Kevin Bacon has VACU nostrils- meaning like a Vacuum Cleaner.

by Anonymousreply 13September 28, 2024 1:48 AM

R11- He was offbeat good looking in 1986 in the movie Parting Glances.

by Anonymousreply 14September 28, 2024 1:53 AM

Michael Shannon.

It's distracting.

Ratboy although I dispute the movie star part.

by Anonymousreply 19September 28, 2024 2:12 AM

Adam Driver looks like a neanderthal.

by Anonymousreply 20September 28, 2024 2:13 AM

A lot of comedic movie stars fit this bill. Seth Rogen, Kevin Hart.

by Anonymousreply 21September 28, 2024 2:16 AM

William H Macy. A face only a mother could love.

by Anonymousreply 22September 28, 2024 2:17 AM

Yes, Adam Driver!

by Anonymousreply 23September 28, 2024 2:23 AM

Steve Buscemi, sweet but ugly.

by Anonymousreply 24September 28, 2024 2:28 AM

That’s the one r12 couldn’t remember the name of.

Was going to say, yeah the one from that movie where some guy puts a dead body in a woodchipper. Where the pregnant sheriff is played by what’s her name, who's married to what’s his face the director. Fargo.

by Anonymousreply 25September 28, 2024 2:28 AM

Pete Postlethwaite!!

by Anonymousreply 26September 28, 2024 2:28 AM

You antidiluvian gits do recognize the names you've posted are meaningless to 99.9% of human beings alive in 2024. Right.

by Anonymousreply 27September 28, 2024 2:36 AM

John C. Reilly… And he sounds like a cartoon character.

Jonah Hill

Movie Star = Headliner, Bankable Actor

A lot of the people mentioned are character/working actors, not movie stars.

A good example is Dustin Hoffman, who really was a box-office attraction in the late '60s and '70s with smash hits like "The Graduate" (1967), "Midnight Cowboy" (1969), "Little Big Man" (1970), "Straw Dogs" (1971), "Papillon" (1973), "Lenny" (1974), "All the President's Men" (1976), "Marathon Man" (1976), and "Kramer vs. Kramer" (1979).

He was nominated for lead Oscars for "The Graduate," "Midnight Cowboy," "Lenny," and won for "Kramer vs. Kramer."

r29, Loosen the bone Wilma.

by Anonymousreply 30September 28, 2024 3:03 AM

Beery was absolutely a star. Human garbage, but he was the highest paid man in Hollywood. Yes, in 1894, as R27 points out.

by Anonymousreply 31September 28, 2024 3:10 AM

r31, My sister dated Wallace Berry, I think you're prone to exaggeration.

by Anonymousreply 32September 28, 2024 3:11 AM

The sad loser still FFing me because he thinks I’m defacto.
