Such a fine actress in Room at the Top and Sons and Lovers. I wonder why she didn’t make the sequel - Life at the Top, although Jean Simmons was terrific. Talk about a vanishing talent who is rarely spoken about these days…

I do love her as the innocent girl in “Room at the Top,” who discovers the joys of sex with Laurence Harvey.
Per Wikipedia, she reduced her work schedule one she had married and had three sons. She did TV and some theater but no movies. Once her boys had grown she did a lot of regional theater.
Jean Simmons would have been a marginally bigger name than Sears by the mid-‘60s.
