Periodic reminder that Los Angeles sits at the edge of a desert.

Tommy Lee’s dog is snatched by a coyote (it was rescued but the video is distressing). According to Google Lee recently bought a $4 million home in Brentwood.

Oh thank god I thought you said Tommy Lee’s DONG

by Anonymousreply 1September 26, 2024 10:40 AM

LA is one great big freeway.

by Anonymousreply 2September 26, 2024 11:31 AM

Coyotes are common outside the desert.

by Anonymousreply 3September 26, 2024 2:04 PM

I’m glad the dogs okay

You're saying Pam Anderson was attacked??

The coyotes add home value. Nice of him to bring them a source of food. Most wildlife is way smarter than a domestic animal. Think Nepo baby vs working class achiever. Coyotes will send in a female in heat to lure a domestic dog away from its home territory. When it is safely away, they do what they will with it. Sometimes they become friends sometimes food depending on how hungry the coyotes are. It's Nature naturing. Cats on the other hand are pretty much a meal.

Oh please: let's not.

There are a pack of coyotes that roam my neighborhood in the SF Valley. These guys scale walls and fences, so our cats and small dogs are not safe unless they are indoors.

Yes - coyotes are found all over America - primarily in the West, with actually fewer numbers in California than the states East of it.

Coyotes and dog snatching has been a thing for many many decades.

by Anonymousreply 11September 26, 2024 3:44 PM

I'm not seeing the desert and story connection. Coyotes are everywhere in California.

Coyotes are cute

Some of them are coyote ugly.

by Anonymousreply 14September 26, 2024 10:09 PM

Why would a coyote want to fuck a dog?

Unless it's a bobcat, like the one that stared me down as I was trying to rush into my home. I am 6'5", 225 lbs and it looked at me like I might be a meal.

One night our Ring doorbell cam went off at 2am. It was a coyote wandering around our yard.

by Anonymousreply 17September 26, 2024 10:15 PM

Dismembered cats were turning up in Houston's east end, with worries that someone was tormenting them. It turned out to be coyotes eating pets and leaving parts behind.

Yep, there are warning signs in public parks in central Toronto warning about coyotes and to keep your dog on a leash. I’ve seen one myself but it ran off the moment I turned and saw it.

R3, I’ve seen them in suburban Chicago

R20, I’m in suburban Chicago and I’ve seen them. Foxes too.

When I lived in the desert I was stalked by two coyotes as I walked my two small dogs around the block. I picked up my pace, but was afraid to move much faster...scared the hell out of me.

by Anonymousreply 25September 27, 2024 4:01 AM

There are coyotes in San Francisco.

by Anonymousreply 26September 27, 2024 4:15 AM

Not that it really matters (since there are coyotes all over the LA area), but the attack took place at his home in Woodland Hills, not Brentwood.

by Anonymousreply 27September 27, 2024 4:15 AM

I'd be more worried about sitting on a fault line.

by Anonymousreply 28September 27, 2024 4:25 AM

I'm more worried about Illegal Mexican tranvestites showering with my daughter Rayleigh!

by Anonymousreply 29September 27, 2024 4:31 AM

R15 Maybe that coyote is linked to Diddy's sex crimes.

by Anonymousreply 30September 27, 2024 4:35 AM

Are they Haitians eating them, or are they eating the Hatians?

I want to domesticate coyotes

by Anonymousreply 33September 27, 2024 2:30 PM

Whenever I see posters for “missing “ cats in my suburban neighborhood I always think “ coyote food.”

by Anonymousreply 34September 27, 2024 2:52 PM

R27 it matters a great deal!

$4 million in Brentwood…well I never!

Valley trash is still trash even in “upscale” Woodland Hills….the hottest neighborhood inside the city limits—and I mean the weather.

by Anonymousreply 35September 27, 2024 3:34 PM

Coyotes have been spotted in Central Park, NYC once in a while. Sounds like there's one or two there currently.
