Tasteful Friends, a Frank Lloyd Wright student's masterwork in Palo Verdes

I admit I am rarely impressed by Wright's students.

But this house is beautifully sited and detailed so carefully I would forgive anyone for thinking it was Wright's own work.

And the views.

RPV is about to fall into the sea.

It's gorgeous but Jesus Fucking Christ why is everything so expensive in Cali? 8.8 mil for a 3 bed/2 bath??? Fuck! For that kind of money I should have 10 bedrooms!

It’s gorgeous but I can’t stand brown bathrooms. I guess that’s not easily changed in a home like this. Also, that bed is what, a foot from the fireplace?

Still, I’d absolutely live in it. The architecture is stunning.

It's fucking stunning. I could move right in and live there just the way it is. Sigh...

by Anonymousreply 4September 24, 2024 8:33 AM

Yeah, not having the bed next to a fireplace. Impressive to look at, but not somewhere I'd want to live.

It’s not a bedroom, it’s open to the living/dining/kitchen area. It’s probably a study/den/office but it’s described as a bedroom so the listing isn’t “2 bedroom house for $8 8 million.”

It’s nice but R1 is correct.
