I also liked it, off to a good start.

Premiere was an interminable slog... until Cristin Milioti's Sophia showed up and stole every scene she was in. Couldn't look away, I was transfixed by her.

Another solid episode.

I enjoyed the second episode a lot more than the premiere. Man, Milioti is just something else, can't keep my eyes off her. A perfectly modulated performance, which doesn't for a second fall into the common trap of going overboard – and thus into cringe territory – when portraying someone with a mental disorder. Gaga should be taking notes.

The beautiful Theo Rossi appears, what a pleasant surprise!

End credits song – Lana Del Rey's cover of The Turtles' Happy Together – was haunting and sublime.

This show sucks.

Milioti is wonderful

First episode was FANTASTIC, the second merely pretty good.

Colin Ferrell is simply terrific in that latex fat suit, his performance is amazing. (I also love the performance of the actress of Oz's mother, who is suffering from dementia, and the relationship between the two). I'm really looking forward to the rest of the run - with some trepidation since it has various writers and directors (though the show-runner really seems on his game), and the writer of that first episode (Lauren LeFranc) won't return until the season finale, and the writing of episode 2 wasn't nearly as strong.

I completely forgot to mention that Shohreh mafuckin' Aghdashloo shows up in the second episode as well. And she's speaking Farsi! God, I love this woman so much.

Tonight's episode was AMAZING!

Milioti better get an Emmy for tonight's work.

This show is my favorite of the year. And I did NOT see that coming.

The stuttering kid is fantastic - I had a stutter (still do to a certain extent) and he really nails it. It's not as easy to do as it might seem.

Milioti is somehow riveting when she's doing absolutely nothing.

Colin is always good.

Milioti is incredible, an award worthy performance.

My favorite gay man Michael Zegen is on this show!

He played Randall in the Walking Dead, but that was a while ago.

I'm glad to see that he's on another hit show.

Milioti was the girl that was molested by James Barbour. Landed him in jail.

The dreaded flashback episode. However, it was amazing, the best of the season so far! Mostly thanks to Milioti, who is just endlessly watchable. Can't keep my eyes off her Sofia.

Gurl, he was a lead on five seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which he is best known for. Did you sleep through that? I had no idea he was gay, I don't think I've ever seen that mentioned on DL before. He doesn't ping to me. Like, at all.

It doesn't matter if you watched Maisel or not, it was in the zeitgeist when it aired originally, so you should at least be passingly familiar through cultural osmosis alone that Rachel Brosnahan and Michael Zegen were in it.

r24 it wasn't a huge show that you would've been automatically aware of. It was a streamer with a niche audience.

I tried watching it but got bored. Snorefest.

I caught ep 4 which focussed on Cristin and she was fantastic. I went back to episode 1 and am catching up. Great show.

Since when is Michael Zegen gay? (Doesn't matter if he pings or not. - he doesn't -but that doesn't mean he is or isn't.)

I've just never heard a thing, and an internet search brings up nothing. Still doesn't really answer the question, but you'd think there would be SOMETHING out there.

Honestly, this was one of the lesser episodes, or at least it didn't grab me as did episodes one and four. Looking forward to the return of showrunner Lauren LeFranc's writing for the season finale on November 10

I know Oz is the main character, with his fat ugly repulsive self, but I’m rooting for Sofia.

They're calling the final 'the final episode.'. Is this a limited series? If so, sorry to see it go because it's fucking fantastic. Between this, The Franchise and Somebody, Somewhere, HBO is back on top.

I had been kind of avoiding this but with most of the HHWers here giving it a thumbs up - I think I shall watch.

I give major props to the makeup department because if you can make Colin Farrell look not just unattractive but downright repulsive then that make up department deserves all the awards. Seriously, Colin Farrell has always been one of the most handsome actors ever. I’ve very impressed!

It's pretty much the best show on TV right now.

They should integrate "The" Batman storyline on here rather than make another movie dud.

Love the way he turned his whore into his mom at the very end. They've been hiding all season just how much like her younger version she looked.

Milioti was perfection from start to finish, just the way she lit up her fag was pure magic. And when she lit up three at once in the finale... Accolades coming her way, henny.

Poor Victor. Just as he gets empowered, he's gone.

Thank Christ they didn't kill off Milioti which is what I was expecting.

Plus we have it setting up her escape with that letter from Catwoman.

Nice touch at the end to see Os go full Penguin with the suit, top hat and umbrella.

Can't wait for the film. Reeves is done writing it and it is supposed to start shooting early next year.

Deirdre O'Connell was exceptional as his mom.

Sofia is a multi dimensional character, interested in the psychology of her rivals. She realized too late though what Oz was but knew that his mother had his number all along.

The writing just seemed to flow so effortlessly.

Bravo, but poor Victor. There's no rooting for the bad guy here, make no mistake.

I just don’t get why Oz’ repulsive ass killed Vic. I hope Batman makes him suffer.

Oz cared too much for him and that makes him a weakness that can be exploited by Oz's enemies.

So much great writing. But after these final two episodes I'm more hesitant to recommend it to people generally than I was at the beginning of the series. Not because of a drop in quality, but because... you know

Because why?

I recommended the show to many friends and they all loved it.
