Republicans don't even use spices in their 'cooking.' Their food is dogshit.

I was given one of their gift cards earlier this year so I will be making good use of it AND adding to it since we are approaching prime baking season. I like their Double-Strength Vanilla Extract(which is a bit pricey, but quality vanilla is dear everywhere) All of their products are top-shelf. I looked at an old New Yorker profile of the CEO. He started his criticism of the GOP when Trump was elected. A rival spice company, owned by his sister who took over their father’s store, immediately welcomed Republican customers. While they apparently don’t get along, together they have riled up people to buy spices as a matter of political expression.

It seems entirely sincere, but it does make me go “hmmmmm?”

Wait, so if I go to a Penzeys store near me, I will not be trading with the awful sister will I?

Fuck his sister - like Republicans are known for their varied and wide food tastes.

They buy salt, black pepper, BBQ rub/sauce, ketchup and ranch dressing.

Like they're so busy making an Indian curry...or anything other than meat and potatoes.

The sister doesn't do business under the Penzey name, R9. Her store is "Spice House" and she has nowhere near the reach that Penzey does.

As soon as Penzey’s went after Trump, I started supporting them. They have a good selection of gift sets, perfect for holidays, host/hostess gifts, housewarmings, etc.

The MAGAts are claiming that Penzey's is racist because the company doesn't support the philosophies that Republicans hold near and dear.

I just cannot with those stupid people.

Umm, that Fox bitch going on and on, twisting herself into a pretzel, about how cringeworthy Kamala was while the video on the other side is showing people in the store happy and glad to talk to her. They really do deny reality, even when there is video proof that refutes the Fox party line nonsense.

I love some of their emails. Last week, they had a 50% off on orange spices.

It's just so disheartening, the way the smallest fucking thing turns into a culture war.

I wish they would stop soliciting new business on the basis of MAGA attacks and deal with the customers they already have. I ordered weeks ago and they have not shipped. No updates.

Never mind. They did ship 6 days ago. I missed the email. Arriving today!

My orders always arrive within a week including the one I placed at the height of this. Damn their version of Herbes de Provence is the very best. So bright and fresh. Wish I'd ordered it years ago

They did warn me that shipping would be delayed because of high volume from a promotion. That was before Harris’s visit.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Just when we needed you most you buried us in orders. Now we are trying to dig out.

I’m still trying to sort out what the last couple weeks have meant for us, or will mean for us, or whatever this all is, I don’t even know.

But what I do know is, in the wake of Vice President Harris’s visit to our Pittsburgh store and the condemnation we received for that from all of the right, right up to the very top of the Republican party, I asked for your help. Your response was beyond my imagination. You have my immense thanks.

And maybe seeing what was happening and how many of you were coming to our aid I should have tried to calm the overwhelming response, and taken down the Facebook post, and skipped the offer-ending email Sunday evening. But if I’m being completely honest here I kind of needed that overwhelming response.

All that hate. All that anger. I’ve been at this long enough to know that you can’t let that get to you, but as much as you tell that to yourself, on some level it does get to you.

Since we put up our About Republicans on our website two years ago it has been a struggle and we’ve had to be extra creative to keep at break even in the face of the Republican boycott it brought us. And that was just a normal-level Republican boycott without prime time Fox News and Donald Trump himself leading the charge.

So in the face of it all I asked for your help. Your response left me with no doubt that you have our back. You are my heroes. You have reassured me we are on the right path. But in all of this, in just two days' time you sent us six weeks worth of orders. HOORAY! But oh my we now have a lot of work to do.

I get emails. In response to all those asking: How are you doing? The answer is: So much better now, thanks!

But I do have to tell you, for the next two-three weeks we are going to be really-really behind on getting orders out the door. I am so sorry for this, but probably not as sorry as I should be because your tidal wave of support just made me really happy. Relieved, too. I needed that. Thanks.

Penzey’s is doing great!

I like the fact that their stores are actually closed on election day so that their employees can go out and vote.

I just ordered some of the blends. Been looking for some good salt-free seasonings. Turns out I do have a store about an hour from me. I'll have to stop by over the holidays.

Why were these Republicans buying from Penzey's in the first place? This is not the first time Penzey's has been this political and they are not the only spice game in town. Some people just want to be victims.
