I'm still trying to figure out why Chris Christie hasn't endorsed her, particularly since he was so adamant about the dangers of a second DT term when he was running against him. Of course, that was probably just all talk and bluster.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 7, 2024 4:54 PM |
Chris Christie is a fence sitter. He doesn't have enough guts to fully denounce Trump/endorse Harris because he wants to stay on the good graces of his some of fellow Republicans. He's basically a fat white male version of Nikki Haley.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 7, 2024 5:50 PM |
Christie is the consummate opportunist. Also a huge Trump enabler. Right now he is probably busy trying to scrape Trump's bullshit off his face. Interesting that in 2020 he was Trump's debate coach and this time Tulsi is doing the honors.

Really why does anyone care whether these assholes endorse Harris or not? They can never undo all the damage they've done.
I can't believe I'm saying this but Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are the only two heavyweights who really stuck their necks out. And they both lost their jobs because of it. I might disagree with them on everything under the sun but I can respect them for that.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 7, 2024 7:58 PM |
IMO, the most important point Liz Cheney made when she announced her support of VP Harris, was that we do not have the luxury of voting 3rd party, or writing in someone's name. In order to deal with the threat Trump poses, we need to vote for Harris period. So she went beyond the traditional endorsement.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 7, 2024 8:01 PM |
All of these spineless wonders should grow a backbone and come out and endorse Harris.

These cowardly generals need to come out and endorse Harris...not simply "not endorse" or "not support" Trump
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 8, 2024 12:34 AM |
Their only value is sort of giving permission to independents leaning Republican who were possibly Nikki Haley supporters and others who were going to sit it out, to go ahead and vote for Harris. I am worried that there'll be a backlash of people who will say they're voting for Harris but won't. She keeps saying he is t he underdog and that tells me her internal polling shows it's closer than we think. So get out here and keep working. We cannot afford to overlook one single thing.

by Anonymous | reply 44 | September 8, 2024 2:24 AM |
"Not endorsing" by proclamation Trump is not the equivalent of endorsing Harris.
Betsy Prince DeVos, for example, would NEVER endorse a Democrat.
So the lists at r30 and r32 are meaningless.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 8, 2024 2:28 AM |
If Nimrata had even a shred of integrity she would not have backed Trump and would be endorsing Harris/Walz, given everything she said about Trump during her campaign. Her endorsement of Orange Julius just makes everything she said (including her teary rebuke when Trump bad-mouthed her deployed husband) ring hollow and proves what a careerist phony she is. Any Haley voter with a modicum of self respect should vote for Harris/Walz as a big fuck you to that fraudulent, self-serving cunt.

by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 8, 2024 1:43 PM |
Lissen. All these people come with baggage. Now, Liz Cheney took the path t o redemption by losing her position in leadership in the House and by serving as co-chair of the Insurrection hearings and the impeachment stuff. So when she comes out with her endorsement, it has heft. And we can overlook her previous record in welcoming her into the tent. But that doesn't apply to her father. Her father comes with a lot of baggage. We will see a lot of these endorsements, but very few of them will have earned a place inside the tent. In fact, in some instances we can say, "No thanks." I don't think Kamala needs to express gratitude for Dick Cheney.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 8, 2024 1:53 PM |
My point is Liz paid a price for going against Trump and against her party. Adam Kinzinger paid a price. HAs anyone else ?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 8, 2024 1:54 PM |
It’s my understanding that the military do not publicly voice political opinions.
Dick Cheney understands that the Republican Party will be tainted by Trump for another decade if he gets elected. They got what they wanted, a right wing Supreme Court. Now he wants them to go back to a traditional Republican stance and the MAGAs can go back to the trailer park and never vote again.
Bush Jr has nothing to lose by declaring for Harris.
