Do you think there should be an age limit to the presidency?

You can't run for president until you are 35, so why isn't there an age limit on the other end?

Yeah I do. I'd say 70.

Yes

Yes. 65 should be the cutoff, or near to the official retirement age.

Yes

There should first be an idiot limit.

It’s ridiculously inconsistent to have a minimum age and no maximum age. Humans age inversely after age 70 in an equivalent level to the immaturity and lack of capacity prior to age 35 for Presidential essential job functions

When you’re old enough to retire and get a life.

Not an age limit, but cogency testing, absolutely! Before running for reelection too.

I think there should be prohibitions on convicted felons running and enforcing the existing constitutional prohibition in the 14th Amendment regarding those who have "engaged in insurrection or rebellion" against the United States government.

I’d love a contrarian to call out a culture that can’t retire.

by Anonymousreply 11September 5, 2024 4:44 AM

If to demonstrate one can “retire” perhaps the single security retirement age should be an unofficial limit?
