Does anyone know what crows eat? I see them a lot but never eating anything. And they are so big obviously they need a lot of food.

R3- They eat road kill like Vultures. I've seen them. More than once over the years I drive by some crows feasting on road kill. When I would drive by they would hop off the road then I could see them in my rearview mirror hopping right back into the road to finish their feast. They also like nuts and seeds and insect birds eggs. Almost whatever they can get their so called hands on.

They are so beautiful, and smart, so smart.

There's an old couple in my area who've had a great Mom & Pop nursery for many decades. Right beside the cash register is a giant cage with a giant crow inside. First time I went there, I was checking out with my tomato and bell pepper plants, and asked about the crow, who can speak intelligibly and loves interacting with his public; he's quite the preening showman.

Turned out we were born in the same year, 4 months apart. I turned 60 last March, and that crow is still at the nursery, still looking incredible.

Guess it's true black don't crack.
