49'ers Ricky Pearsall released from hospital after being shot by 17 year old

Ricky Pearsall's lucky to be alive and has God to thank for shielding him from the bullets fired during Saturday's attempted robbery ... this according to his mom.

Erin Pearsall shared an update on her son's condition less than 24 hours after cops say a 17-year-old suspect shot him in the chest while trying to steal his Rolex watch in broad daylight.

In her Facebook post, EP confirms her son was shot in the chest -- the bullet exited out his back -- but, miraculously, the bullet missed all of his vital organs.

Ricky's mom's giving God 100% of the credit for her son's survival ... saying without some level of divine intervention, her son never would've survived the ordeal.

As we told you ... police arrived at the scene of the alleged incident at around 3:30 PM yesterday -- saying they found two male subjects suffering from injury.

Cops say, upon further investigation, they discovered the two men were Pearsall and his alleged attacker who was suffering an injury sustained from his own gun during an altercation with Ricky. Cops arrested the suspect.

sizemeat?

Why do loons who suffer any challenge always think god saved them... when if god was going to save them, they wouldn't have been in the situation at all? God did not redirect those bullets away from his vital organs, that was that the shooter was a bad shot. So was it that god made the shooter a bad shot? Why didn't god just not put a gun in the shooter's hands? Why didn't god just keep the shooter and the football player away from each other? Does god hate some people so much that he won't intervene, or is god busy keeping football players and worst presidents in American history alive?

Stupid people say stupid shit. Shocking, I know.

by Anonymousreply 2September 2, 2024 4:08 PM

He's a rough-looking 23 yo.

by Anonymousreply 3September 2, 2024 4:10 PM

What about all the people who die from gunshot wounds? Does God hate them?

by Anonymousreply 4September 2, 2024 4:11 PM

God only saves people who do important work, like playing football

by Anonymousreply 5September 2, 2024 4:25 PM

Attempted murder and attempted robbery.

Not a child. Not innocent. 17 year old needs to spend time in adult jail for the next 10+ years.

by Anonymousreply 6September 2, 2024 4:27 PM

Not good looking. Don’t care.

(ngl;dc)

by Anonymousreply 7September 2, 2024 4:32 PM

Doesn't say WHERE this happened.

by Anonymousreply 8September 2, 2024 4:54 PM

[quote]Not good looking. Don’t care.

WOW ! I'll take that 'ngl' guy any day. There were some photos of him with his shirt off getting into the ambulance - what a fuckin' body on him.

by Anonymousreply 9September 2, 2024 5:02 PM

[quote]What about all the people who die from gunshot wounds? Does God hate them?

Or perhaps they're atheists who don't believe in prayer or God ? Have you thought of that ?

by Anonymousreply 10September 2, 2024 5:03 PM

R2 Why do you mock their faith ? Just because it's different than your beliefs ?

by Anonymousreply 11September 2, 2024 5:04 PM

I stopped reading after the having God to thank line. I'm sure the educated, skilled surgeons and support staff had NOTHING to do with his recovery...

by Anonymousreply 12September 2, 2024 5:16 PM

On SF. Here's an account of the shooting.

Forgot to add that while the mom thanked god, she failed to thank the cop who actually saved his life.

by Anonymousreply 14September 2, 2024 5:37 PM

His mother seems...limited, if you read her FB account.

by Anonymousreply 15September 2, 2024 5:38 PM

That 17yo shot a tall built footballer in the chest in broad daylight while trying to rob him.On a Saturday afternoon!

He ought to be locked up for years for attempted murder.

by Anonymousreply 16September 2, 2024 5:42 PM

[quote]He was extremely lucky, GOD shielded him.

Which is it?

by Anonymousreply 17September 2, 2024 6:15 PM

Not mocking R11. Rather why is one person worth saving but another is not (if God is choosing.) It’s a very good question.

by Anonymousreply 18September 2, 2024 6:20 PM

The Lord works in mysterious ways, r18.

by Anonymousreply 19September 2, 2024 6:35 PM

[quote] He was extremely lucky, GOD shielded him.

Extremely lucky that God just happened to be paying attention for once, unlike during those 6+ years in the 1930s and 1940s where he totally dropped the ball on that Holocaust thing.

by Anonymousreply 20September 2, 2024 6:44 PM

[quote]Rather why is one person worth saving but another is not (if God is choosing.) It’s a very good question.

This is one person we know about because he's a football player and made the media. Do you think he's the 'one person' worth saving ? Did you ever think about the ones who DID survive shootings the past week and survived, but we don't know about them since they didn't make the pages of the media ? It's a very good question.

by Anonymousreply 21September 2, 2024 7:16 PM

[quote]Extremely lucky that God just happened to be paying attention for once, unlike during those 6+ years in the 1930s and 1940s where he totally dropped the ball on that Holocaust thing.

The survivors of the Holocaust would probably disagree with you. Just sayin'.

[quote]I stopped reading after the having God to thank line. I'm sure the educated, skilled surgeons and support staff had NOTHING to do with his recovery...

Maybe his mom's prayers worked - and through prayer, brought the skilled surgeons and support staff and her son together ? Something to think about.

[quote]Forgot to add that while the mom thanked god, she failed to thank the cop who actually saved his life.

She may have thanked her personally - you have no idea. BTW, CNN reported that the cop who actually saved his life said she grabbed his hands and prayed with him until the rescue arrived. That must really burn your biscuits.

by Anonymousreply 23September 2, 2024 7:23 PM

Pearsall is hot. Glad he’s okay.

by Anonymousreply 24September 2, 2024 7:29 PM

I guess God isn’t a hockey fan.

[QUOTE] That must really burn your biscuits.

[QUOTE]She may have thanked her personally - you have no idea.

You accuse *me* of being presumptuous, yet you load your post with two of your own? Sidewinding seems your specialty. We'll get back to you later...

by Anonymousreply 27September 2, 2024 8:04 PM

Sorry Mom, God had nothing to do with it. Your son was just damn lucky.

by Anonymousreply 28September 2, 2024 8:08 PM

[quote]You accuse *me* of being presumptuous

Please point out where I said "You're being presumptuous"...we'll all wait.

(This is a good way for you to bow out gracefully - just sayin').

[quote] I guess God isn’t a hockey fan.

Another guess would be the hockey player wasn't a God fan, and didn't believe in prayers.

R28 You believe in luck ? You think Lady Luck stepped in and saved him ?

by Anonymousreply 30September 2, 2024 8:12 PM

No, luck is not a sentient being that can step in and do anything. Luck, good or bad, has no reason. It's just the card you draw at any given moment.

by Anonymousreply 31September 2, 2024 8:16 PM

R20, God was still made over the people responsible for Jesus's death.

by Anonymousreply 32September 2, 2024 8:17 PM

Yea—getting released within 48 hours is a sure sign of near death.

by Anonymousreply 33September 2, 2024 8:19 PM

[quote] God was still made over the people responsible for Jesus's death.

God was a made man? Was he in the Gambino crime family?

But no, God had no feelings over the poeple who killed Jesus, because God is a myth and there is not one shred of real evidence that Jesus ever really existed.

R8 central San Francisco.

[quote] The suspect, a 17-year old male from Tracy, California, was arrested Saturday, according to San Francisco Police Chief William Scott.

[quote] Pearsall was walking alone shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday when a suspect attempted to rob him with a gun on Geary Boulevard in the Union Square area.

[quote] According to the San Francisco Fire Department, a 911 call at 3:38 p.m. PT reported shots fired at the corner of Geary and Grant streets, a block away from San Francisco's Union Square. Police arrived shortly after.

[quote] Pearsall was signing autographs at an event center earlier in the afternoon and had headed to Union Square afterward, according to ABC 7 San Francisco.

[quote] According to the San Francisco Police Department, a physical altercation between Pearsall and the suspect ensued during the attempted robbery and both were injured. Pearsall and the suspect were later transported to San Francisco General Hospital.

[quote] "A struggle between Mr. Pearsall and the suspect ensued and gunfire from the suspect's gun struck both Mr. Pearsall and the subject," Scott said Saturday during a news briefing.

[quote] The condition of the alleged gunman was not immediately disclosed.

[quote] Scott said there was "no indication" that the suspect had targeted Pearsall because he is a professional football player and added that there was one gun involved with multiple shots fired during the attempted robbery. Scott said that the suspect was acting alone "as far as we know" but said that the many surveillance cameras in the area would be checked as the investigation continues.

[quote] Scott said Pearsall had been alert enough to speak to police about the shooting but there would be further dialogue as Pearsall recovers.

[quote] District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said a charging decision on the suspect, whom she noted is a juvenile, will be made Tuesday or Wednesday.

[quote] "Thankfully, our hard-working officers made a swift arrest in this case and we will do everything within our power to ensure justice is served," Scott said in a statement.

"Ricky's mom's giving God 100% of the credit for her son's survival"

Who gets credit for getting him shot in the first place? Was God busy giving some 4 yr old cancer?

by Anonymousreply 36September 2, 2024 8:23 PM

In my town when COVID really was going strong tons of people started putting big crosses in their front yards. I'm talking 4' or higher, thinking that was going to keep them safe from COVID. I told one neighbor "don't you think if God was going to save you from COVID he would have just made sure it never happened?". Instead he let it happen and let it kill millions of people the world over who didn't have crosses in their yards? That's what God did? She looked at me like I was insane.

by Anonymousreply 37September 2, 2024 8:27 PM

R37 Why do you think people blame God for all bad things that happen, and never good things which happen ?

by Anonymousreply 38September 2, 2024 8:45 PM

(Principal Blackman leads the team in prayer before the big football game)

Blackman: Dear Lord, thank you for giving this game your undivided attention. We'll try to be brief so you can return your energies to the movement of the stars and the condemnation of the Jews. Please hand us an easy victory.

by Anonymousreply 39September 2, 2024 8:56 PM

[quote] Why do you think people blame God for all bad things that happen, and never good things which happen ?

Possibly because people who believe in a magical sky fairy are stupid.

by Anonymousreply 40September 2, 2024 9:03 PM

> Ricky's mom's giving God 100% of the credit for her son's survival

Remember to tell that to the doctors *before* they cut your son open next time, Ms. Karen.

by Anonymousreply 41September 2, 2024 9:15 PM

R40 Well, that's logical, intelligent sense. Who can argue with that ?

by Anonymousreply 42September 2, 2024 10:25 PM

R42 Strangers With Candy, dickhead.
