Education and contact with other people seem to be the determinant factors
Fascinating. The two Trumpiest circles are homemakers (presumably all or nearly all women) and adults collecting disability checks.

Thanks for sharing this information, OP - very telling analysis!
I have found that occupations like handymen and truck drivers where single, white men can listen to talking heads like Hannity/Limbaugh all day produce the craziest, most extreme rabid Rightwingers who spew misinformation and conspiracies.

I'm actually shocked (and pleased) to see doctors are so strongly onto the Harris side. I know education is a big sorting factor for which party we support, but considering the number of times I've walked into the doctor's lounge to find the TV on FoxNews....
I'm also really surprised that Lawyers are so pro-Harris. I mean, I get it, she's one of them, but I'd have thought it would go the other way.

Data is from 2020. Biden, not Harris.
Lawyers have always leaned heavily Democratic, like scientists.
Logic has a liberal bias.

Refer to the OP chart to understand that red donations are as well reflected here because they are largely independent contractors, homemakers, retirees, etc…,

Outside the military and the NYPD, no large employers lean to Trump. Not even Wal-Mart. Very interesting.

Almost all of the Trumpers I know are on disability or shut-ins. Not all, but most.

….so basically people who got theirs and fled. Doesn’t sound like Republican definition of success at all.

Perhaps MAGA donors are so paranoid that they respond to “employer” inquiry with obfuscation so they don’t show up in the data.

[quote]Data is from 2020. Biden, not Harris
While I'm sure there are some who switch from Biden to Trump, it is far more likely that people will switch from Trump to Harris (or just not donate at all), so I think the data would be similar for 2024.
