UK Female Band The Last Dinner Party’s Debut Album ‘Prelude to Ecstasy’

The Last Dinner Party are having a great year and their debut album ‘Prelude to Ecstasy’ is one of the best albums I’ve heard in a long time. I enjoy many all female bands. has a sound that mixes indie rock, folk, and electronic sounds that could be right at home in the 90s but also sounds contemporary. They are my new favorite group. Give them a listen!

Their video of Nothing Matters.

“I will fuck you like nothing matters.”

When they perform it live, they change “fuck you” to “ have you” which doesn’t have the same impact. Kelly Clarkson recently performed this song for her Kellyoke tv show opening and changed “fuck you” to “love you.”

My husband has been playing them since early spring at least and we got excited when our local dive bar had them on during happy hour. Of course the bartender DJing was a 20 something woman.

Thanks for sharing OP!

Kelly Clarkson’s version of Nothing Matters turned me on to them.
