Great play by Big Foe to break back and win that TB. Excellent tennis!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 2, 2024 1:40 AM |
I’m so impressed with Tiafoe’s play so far. He’s been playing a really clean match, with just 7 unforced errors and more than 20 winners over two sets.

So confused, what year is it?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 2, 2024 1:50 AM |
Tiafoe gonna probably Tiafoe though

Big Foe comes through! He's so damn likable. It's really hard not to root for him.

Who is the old, grizzled dyke who hangs around with Tiafoe? White blonde hair. She used to hang around in the stands with Serena's crew, and for a long time I thought she might be Orcacene's lesbian lover or something.

Gauff had the most double-faults on the entire WTA tour this year
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 2, 2024 3:27 AM |
She needs a new mechanic.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 2, 2024 3:34 AM |
It would make me very happy to see Tiafoe win the final.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 2, 2024 4:17 AM |
It might behoove Gauff to take the rest of the year off and try to retool that serve and forehand.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 2, 2024 4:59 AM |
Gauff has a tendency to act like a spoiled brat. Grow up, girl.

Yes Daddy!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 2, 2024 5:30 AM |
I said it before, Gauff seems to HATE what she's doing. She's the breadwinner for many who have a reason for her to need to keep playing. I have barely seen any NuBalance - or any ads - with her this fortnight, which is strange.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 2, 2024 5:35 AM |
Rafter was clearly anticipating some post-match celebration in the locker room with the biggest guy he can find.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 2, 2024 5:57 AM |
Djokovic can't get higher, may as well retire. Alcaraz? What's going on with him?

I agree with R19 — Gauff seems miserable out there.
So does Naomi Osaka.
They were exciting for a minute, but who wants to watch them hate their jobs.

Nuno Team (though I don't think he has much of a chance)
Il Gingio Team
Legz+ Team (eye candy match of the day!)
Pornstache Team

Fritz impressed me.
Came out flat in the first set but once he got dialed in, he was pretty ruthless.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 2, 2024 10:44 AM |
Agreed, r27, these are really really hard picks.
Borges–Medvedev — I’m going Medvedev
Sinner–Paul — I’m going Sinner
Draper–Macháč — First reaction: don’t make me choose!! I want the Big D *and* Legz+ both at my total disposal for the most unspeakable and delicious things imaginable. If really, really forced, I’d have to go Big D.
De Minaur–Thompson — As above. I’d love for De Minaur to take the whole thing, but Pornstache is, like Legz+, just my type. Again, if forced, I think I’ll go for De Minaur.

Maybe two people on DL (probably one) have a problem with Osaka being Japanese. Don't inflate DL obsessives to all of DL or even more broadly.

How do we feel about Woz?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 2, 2024 1:44 PM |
Not sure where Gauff goes from here. Since she's won a Slam, been ranked as high as No. 2, and had other Slam deep runs, and now has visibly dropped off, people naturally say she needs a change. A coaching mixup - sure. But, retooling her strokes, which I along with others have suggested, is a pretty risky and laborious process. She's young enough, but it simply may not work. It's tough to refashion tennis strokes in substantive ways after playing for so long. She risks what she does have - a pretty good life as a Top 10 player; even life as a Top 20 player would be good. I mean, there's no sure thing it would work. But, if she wants to be a "double digit Slam champ" as the commentators remind us is her goal (which I can't see at all), she'd have to rework her strokes. And my god, her serve is becoming as inconsistent and prone to breakdown as her forehand. She could work on court positioning with that long-stroke, big loop forehand, but there's still mechanical issues. Also, at times she has sort of odd footwork which can hinder her. You can't really see it unless you know what you're looking for.
During the Tiafoe match, Mary Carillo posed the question to her fellow commentators in the booth - "what's been the biggest surprise so far at this US Open - Djokovic losing, Alcaraz losing, or Coco losing?" I laughed that Coco was an option. She hasn't been playing well for months and she got destroyed by Navarro at Wimbledon. What? As others have said, she looks miserable.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 2, 2024 1:58 PM |
Poor Coco. She made $27 million this year! She's only behind Carlos and Novak for 2024. She should tell those around her - her agents, parents and coaches that if she never hits another tennis ball, it's all good. I can see her regaining her love for tennis when she's in her later 20's.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 2, 2024 2:28 PM |
That $27 million must be from endorsements because she didn't win that much on the court.
The U.S. tennis media seems to be contractually obligated to pimp Gauff as often as possible. To think she's in the same league as Alcaraz, much less Djokovic is ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 2, 2024 2:32 PM |
A player ranked that high, the majority of earning is always from endorsements. There's not $27 million to be won by Coco from prize money even if she were to win every tournament she played this year.

Schnaider, who's playing Pegula, sticking with her Eastern European peasant look. I remember when she emerged vs Sakkari at the Australian Open in 2023 when she was a teenager and gave her a tough match. Sad to see my last two faves out: Legz+ whomped, and Nuno with a snowball's chance.
Of those left, in descending order I'd like to see the title taken by Tiafoe, Demon, NSYG, Draper, Thompson, Il G, Meddy, Fritz, Paul and then way dead last RFC. The first nine are all likeable. I've always been meh about the two silver spoon frat bros with their bimbos, though their Best Friends ATP spot was cute. Demerits to Il G PEDs, and to Draper for not giving Felix that infamous match point.

by Anonymous | reply 63 | September 2, 2024 7:57 PM |
Woz has always been known as one of the most popular players on tour, so I don't know where these ideas she's some kind of bitch are coming from. Any bad feeling towards her seemed to come from the fact she was No. 1 for so long without winning a slam title, which she eventually did.

by Anonymous | reply 67 | September 2, 2024 9:08 PM |
I assume a lot of the hate for Woz came from her playing style as she is deemed a 'pusher' of many of the genius tennis fans online. She has in the past complained about things on court but nothing out of the ordinary. Also outside of Venus she's the only other player Serena was close to on the tour and for whatever reason that might bug people.

"I wish Medvedev could win the trophy. I know there's little chance of getting past Sinner, but I wish he could."
Sinner is definitely the favorite, but there's more than a "little chance" that Med wins. I'd say "moderate" chance. Med has ALWAYS played Sinner tough. He won the first six matches of their head-to-head. Yes, Sinner wasn't fully established during a good part of that stretch, but even when he was established and started to beat OTHER top players, Med still beat him a couple times. Then Sinner goes on a 5-match winning streak against Med, but ALL those matches except one (2024 Miami beatdown) awere close, including this year's Australian Open final where Med was up two sets to none before Sinner came back. And even AFTER the Miami beatdown, Med beat Sinner at Wimbledon this year - on a surface he generally doesn't like all that much.
Sinner always seems like he can destroy people just by the way he clubs the ball. But Med has high shot tolerance and really knows how to play Sinner. None of this to say that it would surprise me if Sinner wins or that he shouldn't be expected to. Just that I think Med has more than a "little" chance.

Foe, Daddy, or Young Grigor? Can't go wrong knowing one of these three are going to their first slam final.

Yes. He was Daddy before he switched sponsors and Boss Daddy fits - both for the obvious reason of being sponsored by Boss and because the adjective "boss" pairs well with "daddy." Flows nicely.

I want Sabalenka, I'd like to see what would happen if Zheng wins, beats Navarro, and then see what Navarro has to say at the net. I never really understood that Olympics mini-lecture that Navarro gave Zheng at the net. I generally liked Navarro, but it seemed so unnecessary and gatekeeping.

"Why are there so many empty seats? A NY Times piece the other day was saying how overcrowded the event had been. But it's half empty for a night session quarter final?"
It's probably technically sold out. USO has a ton of casual fans who go just for the atmosphere and entertainment, not because they're hardcore tennis fans. It will fill up as the night goes on. People are out eating dinner and cocktailing right now. Casual fans are never pressed to get there early for a match that doesn't involve an American or some other established superstar that the American public likes. I'm not sure Sabalenka qualifies even though she's a top player. American hardcore tennis fans would turn up for Sabs, but not so much the casual fans.

R169, I answered this upthread, but the short answer is: No. Not yet.
I like both Carlos and Sinner, but am not a die hard for either just yet.
I think it will always be Rafa for me. Though, as a teenager, I loved Agassi nearly as much as Rafa. So it could happen again.
On the female side, I do loves me some She Hulk. Her games is insane and her personality is messy, funny, and full of whacky charm.

by Anonymous | reply 196 | September 4, 2024 12:08 AM |
Navarro, the billionaire's daughter is complaining because Zheng, who was taken from her family at 9 years old and turned into a tennis machine, isn't 'respectful' enough to her. Zheng is a beauty and could be great for the sport in a icy bitch Sharapova sort of way. She and Sabalenka could be Serena/Maria revisited.

I didn't think I would be excited for any other match this US Open after Alcaraz was eliminated (I'm a fan of Alcaraz and dislike Sinner), but I'm actually looking forward to De Minaur vs Draper today. Both are nice guys. Draper is very hot and De Minaur is half Spanish (I like Spain), so at least I have one Spanish left in the draw to root for, lol.
by Anonymous | reply 223 | September 4, 2024 5:45 AM |
Zverev now has almost 500 points more than Alcaraz. Gross. It's Alcaraz's own fault for playing like shit post-Wimbledon. Alcaraz is basically another Nadal clone. He sucks on HC, which is unfortunate, because most tournaments and slams are played on HC. He is good on grass and clay.
by Anonymous | reply 224 | September 4, 2024 5:48 AM |
Alcaraz's serve is a liability. Also, he is regressing. He is not developing his game as he should be. He should get a new coach. I'm not impressed by Ferrero anymore. I feel like Alcaraz has hit the ceiling with him, he needs a new coach, with new views and ideas. He needs to develop his game further, especially his serve.

Meanwhile, Draper's mother, Nicky, was the best female junior player in Britain in her younger years before turning to coaching.

Loved Mary Jo(ke) Fernandez on ESPN yesterday hyping the Muchova-Haddad Maia match as “50/50.”
Girl, everyone knows HM has been playing like garbage much of this year. Good on her for making it to the quarters, but no way is she currently in the same stratosphere as a reasonably healthy Muchova.
by Anonymous | reply 309 | September 5, 2024 1:43 PM |
MJ's matronly flowery dresses are quite the sight to see. You just know she'd run over Chrissie and her pencil to be in the Main Female Commentator seat with Fowler.
Chrissie is maybe suffering from early Dementia. There have been some curious, head shaking comments coming from her lately. I don't care that she said Muchova plays like a guy, yes a stupid thing to say, but she hardly needed to apologize for it. Her CoCo comments have been baffling. CoCo will never be in the class of the All Time Greats, and her so called fighting spirit usually turns out to be dumb luck. Having survived Cancer, Chrissie seems a little fried, but looks good for 69.
by Anonymous | reply 310 | September 5, 2024 2:00 PM |
MJ would never have been on tv If her husband wasn’t a big-time tennis agent.
by Anonymous | reply 311 | September 5, 2024 2:10 PM |
Always a good day when the Russian asshole loses.
Chrissie and the rest of the U.S. tennis media have always pimped Gauff to high heaven. It's only gotten worse since she won a Slam.
by Anonymous | reply 312 | September 5, 2024 2:46 PM |
I just don't like Sinner - even before his "inadvertent" doping issues. I think I've been holding that back because there's really no good reason for it. He's not particularly objectionable - and usually in those situations I'm just "meh," indifferent if nothing attracts me to the person or their game. But, I affirmatively don't like him. He's an incredible player of course, but still.
by Anonymous | reply 313 | September 5, 2024 3:06 PM |
R313, I relayed your message to him and he was terribly hurt.
by Anonymous | reply 314 | September 5, 2024 4:01 PM |
R313 Same. Never liked him, even before the doping case. He just seems so boring. He has no personality and he plays boring tennis imo. Like you said; I don't deny he's a great tennis player. He will probably be an ATG, even better than Alcaraz imo, because Alcaraz struggles on HC. With that said: I prefer Alcaraz. His tennis is more exciting to watch, more offensive/aggressive. He plays showcase tennis. He's exciting to watch even when he has one of his many mental lapses and makes a ton of errors. He also has more of a personality than Sinner. Sorry, this is just my opinion.
by Anonymous | reply 315 | September 5, 2024 4:01 PM |
What I like about Il Gingio is how solid he is. Very aggressive and rarely misses.
by Anonymous | reply 316 | September 5, 2024 4:13 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 317 | September 5, 2024 4:14 PM |
"[R313], I relayed your message to him and he was terribly hurt.
It's just an opinion. The point isn't to "hurt" him or to even think my opinion would even reach him in the first place.

I didn't know there were Italian redheads.
by Anonymous | reply 319 | September 5, 2024 4:32 PM |
He isn't very interesting
by Anonymous | reply 320 | September 5, 2024 4:32 PM |
R319, quite a few, actually, but for different reasons. In the north, the red gene usually comes from the German regions (and Sinner comes from a town that borders with Austria and used to part of the Austrian Tyrol), and in the south (especially Naples and part of Sicily) following the Norman reign.
But I agree—seeing red-heads in Italy can be a bit of a shock.

by Anonymous | reply 322 | September 5, 2024 5:14 PM |
R313, you’re entitled to get excited more about certain players than others.
But you make a pretty lame argument for not liking Sinner. It earns the sarcastic reply.
It’s like, I don’t like the color green, but who cares?
by Anonymous | reply 323 | September 5, 2024 6:45 PM |
I agree that Mary Joe would never be on TV without her powerful husband. However, I think she’s quite good at the job ,matronly dresses or not.
by Anonymous | reply 324 | September 5, 2024 6:48 PM |
MJ sometimes falls in the trap of excessive shilling for her husband’s clients.
She was the conductor of the Coco hype train even when her results were stinko.
by Anonymous | reply 325 | September 5, 2024 8:43 PM |
To be fair, MJ made three major finals, reached number 4 in the world and was one of the most attractive women playing tennis in her time, as well as being Latina. All of which are reasons she might have gotten the position regardless of her husband.
by Anonymous | reply 326 | September 5, 2024 9:02 PM |

Well given his documented mental health problems, history of abuse toward women and ghetto attire, that's understandable.

Draper seems like he has the physical game to compete with Sinner. The big strokes, the 6'4" lefty serve. But he probably doesn't; I guess we'll see. Playing Sinner, who just destroys the ball, it's not only about weapons. Of course you have to have weapons to get ahead in the point so you can actually construct points and win them. But, you also need to be able to absorb a lot of pace, like Med can. Both dealing with pace on "defense" - getting to balls when out of position and getting them back deep - which is of course important. But also even when in position, just being able to deal with Sinner's weight of shot on a normal rally ball. Players get angsty because of the brutal pace, so they often end up going for more than they probably should to try to get the upper hand in the point.
by Anonymous | reply 331 | September 5, 2024 9:38 PM |
Not to fall into the miasma that is DL and race ethnicity, but Sinner’s family are Austrian-German —ended up in Italy thanks to the maps redrawn after WWI.

by Anonymous | reply 333 | September 5, 2024 9:53 PM |
@ R331
One of the local pros in my area is Italian and knows Sinner from their junior days. He says even back then, he'd never seen anyone hit a ball as consistently hard as Sinner.
by Anonymous | reply 334 | September 5, 2024 9:55 PM |
Unless he gets rattled by the pro-American crowd, there's no way a healthy Sinner isn't winning this.
by Anonymous | reply 335 | September 5, 2024 10:05 PM |

"Unless he gets rattled by the pro-American crowd, there's no way a healthy Sinner isn't winning this. "
Yeah, or if his hip gives him issues. Just looking at all three other remaining players, I just don't see it happening for them - and I want it to. Fritz has a very good serve, but would probably have to serve out of his mind, be aggressive and have a high rate of converting points where he's ahead. Things he can do, but can he keep it up over a best of five match. I'm not sure about his ability to make slight adjustments, show a little variety, to get Sinner out of rhythm. He's taken sets from Sinner, but again, best of five changes things. Anyone can put one set together. Foe - who has made real strides with emotional and game management this summer - I think doesn't have the consistency, and he can get a little stunt-y if he feels desperate. Not as much as before, but still at times. He gave Sinner a close set in the Cincy final, but that's all I think he could muster. Though he tends to really raise his level at the USO, so a set maybe. But three sets? - a don't see it. And I already explained by misgivings about Draper, though I honestly haven't seen him play that much.

She-Hulk is a notorious choker, though. I'm sure Navarro's team has told her that if she can keep it close she has a shot. Funny how tennis has come full circel with Pegula and Navarro, it began as an exclusive sport for the wealthy and now...two billionaire heiresses in the final four.

Of course DL wants Daddy-Big Jack. They also probably both have big dongs. Daddy is 6'5 and those guys always have big dicks. He also has a lot of confidence which could also just be being a rich boy.
by Anonymous | reply 378 | September 6, 2024 5:06 AM |
Not all DL--I'd much rather see Tiafoe in the final, unlikely as that may be with the Frances-Fritz head to head. I don't mind Taylor, but he's a dial tone next to Tiafoe's charisma. And Frances has had a much harder road getting to where's he gotten.
by Anonymous | reply 379 | September 6, 2024 6:15 AM |
MJF was consistent but lacked big wins. She never beat Evert, Navratilova or Graf. She beat Seles once, when Monica was 15. She could handle Sabatii, occasionally beat Sanchez-V, Martinez and Novotna, but she just was never forceful enough to bring it home. She should have won the 93 French over Graf, but like Novotna at Wimbledon that year, she choked at the end.

I wonder what cream he's getting applied on it
by Anonymous | reply 455 | September 7, 2024 4:49 AM |
If sinner is not 100%, fritz has a chance! I'm rooting for the underdog
by Anonymous | reply 456 | September 7, 2024 4:49 AM |
R402 I believe Alcaraz is bi.

Tiafoe kind of shit the bed. Still it's like "who wins and gets to step into the Sinner buzzsaw".

Pegula sent Kichenok, Ostapenko's doubles partner, champagne to toast her victory and upcoming nuptials. I hope the crowd lifts her in today's final and we get a close match.
by Anonymous | reply 464 | September 7, 2024 7:16 PM |
I don’t. Kill the heiress, kill.
😇
by Anonymous | reply 465 | September 7, 2024 7:24 PM |
Oh, I want Sabalenka to win. I just don't want it to be over within 45 minutes.
by Anonymous | reply 466 | September 7, 2024 7:26 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 469 | September 7, 2024 8:24 PM |
Someone should tell Christie that saying of Sabalenka “she’s got a target on her back” is probably not the best choice of words right now.
by Anonymous | reply 470 | September 7, 2024 8:27 PM |
CHRISSIE, jeez.
by Anonymous | reply 471 | September 7, 2024 8:56 PM |
It seems a bit Freudian that they're both having such difficulties with racket tension in a suspenseful first set with several breaks of serve.
by Anonymous | reply 472 | September 7, 2024 9:00 PM |
R467 oh dear. I don't think he has the face for that.
by Anonymous | reply 473 | September 7, 2024 9:13 PM |
When Sablenka unleashes a return and she does the one leg up thing that she does.... Hold me David, Im scared!
by Anonymous | reply 474 | September 7, 2024 9:16 PM |
R464 why? Are they friends??
by Anonymous | reply 475 | September 7, 2024 9:19 PM |
The full story is Kichenok was supposed to marry Ostapenko’s coach this week. She never dreamed she’d still be in the tourney.
So they had to postpone the wedding.
Nice gesture by Pegula.

Noah Lyles and Lewis Hamilton on a DL date with their fave hag, Anna Wintour?
by Anonymous | reply 477 | September 7, 2024 9:25 PM |
I'm amazed Pegger got to the final with what's on display here. A finalist should be able to get the ball over the net.
by Anonymous | reply 478 | September 7, 2024 9:25 PM |
Chrissie is openly annoyed by Jess right about now.
by Anonymous | reply 479 | September 7, 2024 9:31 PM |
You mean she did the most basic thing—what anyone might do?
by Anonymous | reply 480 | September 7, 2024 9:31 PM |
I’m surprised they’re allowed to change rackets in the middle of a game.
by Anonymous | reply 481 | September 7, 2024 9:38 PM |
The piggish New York crowd is trying desperately to pump up Pegula.
by Anonymous | reply 482 | September 7, 2024 9:43 PM |
wow Jpeg is outs-lugging Big Sabs all of a sudden
by Anonymous | reply 483 | September 7, 2024 9:48 PM |
erm, out-slugging
by Anonymous | reply 484 | September 7, 2024 9:49 PM |
Epic side-eye from Big Sabs at her coaching team.
by Anonymous | reply 485 | September 7, 2024 9:50 PM |
Courtney Cox jump scare.
by Anonymous | reply 486 | September 7, 2024 9:55 PM |
So you're annoyed by crowd noise but not by Sabalenka screaming like a banshee in heat?
by Anonymous | reply 487 | September 7, 2024 10:08 PM |
The Belarusian Banshee
by Anonymous | reply 488 | September 7, 2024 10:11 PM |
Big Sabs, bishes!
by Anonymous | reply 489 | September 7, 2024 10:12 PM |
I hate when the winner goes into the stands.
by Anonymous | reply 490 | September 7, 2024 10:12 PM |
I really can’t stand all the American flags.
This is tennis. It’s not a patriotic exercise.
by Anonymous | reply 492 | September 7, 2024 10:16 PM |
I'm very happy for Sabalenka as I've always had a soft spot for her. She seems fun.
Pegula always seemed so completely boring.
by Anonymous | reply 493 | September 7, 2024 10:17 PM |
'Her power won her that match.'
by Anonymous | reply 494 | September 7, 2024 10:18 PM |
Pegula's siblings look half Asian but she doesn't
by Anonymous | reply 495 | September 7, 2024 10:20 PM |
I also kinda like Big Sabs. She has a lot of personality and seems like she'd be fun to hang out with.
by Anonymous | reply 496 | September 7, 2024 10:20 PM |
Mary Jo went heavy on the filler. Or else she is storing nuts.
by Anonymous | reply 497 | September 7, 2024 10:21 PM |
Quite big tits
by Anonymous | reply 498 | September 7, 2024 10:22 PM |
I like Pegula.
Child of privilege who has busted her ass to take her talent, which isn’t exceptional, nor is her frame optimal, to the highest levels of the sport.
Seems like a real good person.
by Anonymous | reply 499 | September 7, 2024 10:25 PM |
Pegula also speaks in sentences, if not paragraphs. She's intelligent.
by Anonymous | reply 500 | September 7, 2024 10:27 PM |
I find Pegula a boring player, not unlike Swiatek. She-Hulk wears her heart on her sleeve, which makes her endearing.
by Anonymous | reply 501 | September 7, 2024 10:30 PM |
Is thet guy in the baseball shirt Aryana's boyfriend? She's getting some nice D.
by Anonymous | reply 502 | September 7, 2024 10:31 PM |
Mary Jo doesn’t do a good job of eliciting emotion. With Jess, she needed to draw her out.
by Anonymous | reply 503 | September 7, 2024 10:31 PM |
Big Sab!
by Anonymous | reply 504 | September 7, 2024 10:36 PM |
R481 has no clue how tennis is played
by Anonymous | reply 505 | September 7, 2024 10:37 PM |
R499 Neither she, nor her parents, ever busted their ass to pay for coaching, tennis balls, court time, footwear or anything else.
by Anonymous | reply 506 | September 7, 2024 10:41 PM |
Why the fuck did ESPN show that??!!!! Aryna smashing her racket in the gym off court at the Oz Open. ESPN, that was uncalled for.
by Anonymous | reply 507 | September 7, 2024 10:41 PM |
I’m still fascinated by that ~1 year where Sabalenka absolutely forgot how to serve, so much so that she would try underhand and even put that into the net. Her serve would land several feet short of the net or launch into the bleachers, it was just completely bizarre.
by Anonymous | reply 508 | September 7, 2024 10:42 PM |
^^^^ she had yips
I'm a hacker, but I've had yips. You completely forget how to do a stroke. It sucks.
by Anonymous | reply 509 | September 7, 2024 10:45 PM |
Saba is so easy to root for. Her game is breathtaking at times. And the fact she's overcome the yips is incredible.
Her humor and silliness is so endearing to me.
I also really like JPeg. Her work ethic is remarkable. She has zero weapons but her grit and perseverance has made her a top 3 player.
Great match and I think Saba can end up with seven or eight slams.
by Anonymous | reply 511 | September 7, 2024 11:24 PM |
What a great prty she and her team will have tonight! I would love to hang with her wild crowd.
by Anonymous | reply 512 | September 7, 2024 11:28 PM |
I have always appreciated Martina's commentary when they had her on. A lot of real insight and she didn't talk too much. Chrissy is brain dead and must get paid by the word.
Chrissy: Jessy is so smart, she knows how to get out of a jam, such a high tennis IQ. Sabalenka is an animal.
by Anonymous | reply 513 | September 8, 2024 12:05 AM |
Chrissy couldn't help mentioning some Coco stat early in the match
by Anonymous | reply 514 | September 8, 2024 12:15 AM |
For the past fifty-three years, Christine Marie has been America's Sweetheart, and has proved time and again that she can do and say whatever she wants and it will not affect her public image/revenue stream...
by Anonymous | reply 515 | September 8, 2024 12:41 AM |
Chrissy at her finest was during last US Open when the protestors glued their feed to the ground. I can't remember exactly what she said, but it was ridiculous. Almost embarrassingly bad.

by Anonymous | reply 517 | September 8, 2024 4:14 AM |
Why is coaching now allowed during matches? Tennis is an individual sport.
by Anonymous | reply 518 | September 8, 2024 4:15 AM |
Yeah, it's annoying, r518, ruins the tennis.
by Anonymous | reply 519 | September 8, 2024 9:43 AM |
Chrissie still can't help serving up cunt.
Fowler was talking about how Sabalenka now has 3 majors at 26, 2 at Oz and 1 US. Chrissie felt the need to interject that 'in my era, we didn't even go to Australia'. Somehow she felt the need to smack Sabs down and make it a comparison with her own career.
Don't ever change, Chrissie!

by Anonymous | reply 526 | September 8, 2024 6:04 PM |
He didn't say anything bad...
by Anonymous | reply 527 | September 8, 2024 6:08 PM |
I'll go Daddy - he's paid his dues, and it will probably be good for the men's tour to have a new American slam winner after so many years.
Having said that I wouldn't be crushed if Il Gingio wins - he's played the best tennis this tournament.
by Anonymous | reply 528 | September 8, 2024 6:08 PM |
What is the big deal, I agree with Nick. It's BS that sinner wasn't banned
by Anonymous | reply 529 | September 8, 2024 6:08 PM |
