Trump says his rambling, incoherent vowel movements are actually a brilliant strategy called “The Weave”
Trump: "You know what the weave is? I talk about nine different things, and they all come back brilliantly together. And friends of mine who are like English professors say it's the most brilliant thing I've ever seen."
Trump: "But the fake news, you know what they say? He rambled."

Trump is out of his f*cking mind.

The two psychologists on Shrinking Trump have mentioned several times that Trump is away he has diminished rhetorical talents and is incorporating many explanations and diversions about that, in his "weave". He knows when he fucks up and mispronounces. That's why in this ramble he brags that he never mispronounces one word in 2 hours of weaving.
He IS weaving a discourse, he's not lying about that. But he's obliged to "weave" because he is now diminished cognitively, and can't construct a sustain a spoken sentence. Let along a long cogent utterance.

Actually, back in 2016 Trump was skilled at story telling (bullshitting), going off on tangents and weaving it together to make a point. He could be funny and he really knew how to work a crowd.
All of that ability is gone now. He just sounds crazy.

Making a mess of tangled thoughts is not the same as a weaving. Weaving is intentional and has a purpose.

I heard him make this "weave" claim and thought he's partially correct. He tends to ramble on and on, and will mention numerous idea fragments that are, at best, tangentially related (and 'tangential' is doing a lot of work there). The catch is that you have to be a news and/or political junkie to know what he's talking about, explaining about half of these rambling orations. The other half is just random and batshit crazy thoughts that pop into his head and out his mouth with no filter. I don't know how the MAGAts standing in the heat (since he can't afford indoor venues now) can comprehend what he's saying.

They’re probably used to not understanding a lot of what people say to them. They just pick out what they like and ignore the rest

R15. He doesn't "weave" anything. He rambles and brings up a succession of unrelated topics. He thinks it makes sense or he knows that it doesn't. But he doesn't care. He thinks whatever he says matters and makes sense. It doesn't. He's an idiot. He rambles. He knows nothing. And whenever anyone calls him on it, he takes offense.
Trump ought to heed others' advice and criticism. But he never will because he narcissistic psychopath.

Nobody wants to hear the incoherent demented stream of consciousness ramblings of anybody, let alone from a presidential candidate. At least the issue with Joe Biden was that his comments were sensible, even though they were more recently being delivered slowly.

R17 That is one of the most obnoxious things he says, among millions of others. They said to me "Sir, blah, blah blah." He should never have been president, no one had ever called him that in his life before and it thrilled him.
