Winona just did a video for Criterion. She really knows film. She got all into it about the story, the director, the significance, why it had such an effect on her, etc.

I should also add that the types of films she chose are vast. They’re not one genre. Her mother was apparently a projectionist and Winona watched a lot of films thanks to it as a kid.

I love a good 3 hour movie. Obviously a bad 3 hour movie sucks but the great ones are better than 90 minute movies. Dogville and Magnolia are good examples. Also, last summer’s Mission Impossible movie was great and it wouldn’t have bothered me if it was longer!

So many people complained about Oppenheimer being 3 hours long. Most people just don't have the attention span to watch a movie that long anymore. I always split up a long movie into two viewings at home.

I agree and I’m in my mid 20s. When I took a course about the history of film in my last semster of college, I was the only student who really participated and had prior knowledge of the films we watched and discussed in class. Most of the people in the class also were not into older movies at all which was expected but still disappointing.
