I wish that there were more Mr. Bean shows and movies!
Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean is the funniest thing ever!

[quote] Mr. Bean is the funniest thing ever!
Sorry, but that’s a hill of Beans

Mr Bean irritates me in the same way that Pee Wee does.

I picture the OP clapping his hands rapidly and rocking back and forth.

R2 You sound dreadful

Favorite episode?

I hate Mister Bean. HATE.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 28, 2024 6:09 PM |
Pee Wee was much better! He was whimsical. Mr Bean is just an idiot.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 28, 2024 6:11 PM |
Dreadful character, but far worse actor/person.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 28, 2024 6:17 PM |
Great for the kiddies and those who don't speak English, he was HUGE in my country back in the day, practically a household name.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 28, 2024 6:31 PM |
I love Mr. Atkinson in "Blackadder."
But I don't care for the writing and "style" of Mr. Bean.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 28, 2024 7:08 PM |
The movies weee terrible. Mr. Bean only works as a live action tv show. Rowan does the films for the paycheck to by more cars.

Mr. Bean in Room 426 is fantastic! I also love the one where he goes to the fair and is given wet sponges to throw at a guy. When he runs out of them he picks up cans and starts throwing them. Finally, he picks up a chair and is stopped before he throws it at the guy.

R13, agreed
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 28, 2024 11:58 PM |
R12, why do you think the movies were terrible?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 29, 2024 6:59 PM |
R11 - agreed. I mean, Mr. Bean obviously made Rowan Atkinson very wealthy, so... good for him. But it can't even compare to the brilliance of Black Adder.

I hope that a 3rd Mr. Bean movie is made

Atkinson is talented, but a little of him can go a long way. Mr. Bean lacks Pee-Wee's childlike demeanor and genuinely surreal aesthetic. He's a bumbling moron rather than a naïve imp, and the gags are always ugly.
Prefer Blackadder and Atkinson's other more openly abrasive characters.

I also think Two and a Half Men is hilarious! And Jeff Foxworthy!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 17, 2024 12:43 AM |
I don't understand the character
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 17, 2024 12:46 AM |
R19, how are they similar?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 17, 2024 12:51 AM |
He isn't as talented as Jacques Tati who is the basis for Mr. Bean.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 18, 2024 2:21 AM |
There's something off-putting about his nose and nostrils.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 18, 2024 2:22 AM |
Of course they were silent films, but I have always thought that Mr. Bean is a modern-day take on Chaplin’s Little Tramp character.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 18, 2024 2:34 AM |
I have never found Mr. Bean remotely entertaining.
The entire schtick is the definition of "British humor" that has never been humorous.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 18, 2024 3:31 AM |
R26, why don't you think British humor is funny?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 18, 2024 6:27 PM |
I enjoy most British humor. But not Mr Bean. However, I appreciate his shows' babysitting skills.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 18, 2024 6:33 PM |
The humor is so predictable and subtle.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 19, 2024 6:28 PM |
Why were there not more shows?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 28, 2024 4:03 PM |
I never found him funny. Not even mildly.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 28, 2024 4:12 PM |
OP is a time traveler from 1994.
