My grandparents loved taking us to Arthur Treacher’s back in the 70s. At 10 eating “chips” with vinegar seemed so internationally sophisticated.

I miss the old days of Arthur Treacher's and when Long John's was good.

I live in flyoverstan where the only remaining Arthur Treacher's lives. It is really good and people come from all over the USA just to eat there. It's pretty wild.

At least they're testing the right market with no access to fresh ocean fish and an adequately obese population.

There was one near where I lived in Brooklyn coupled with a Nathan's. I would just get their chips (with malt vinegar) and hush puppies!
I moved away in 2007, but still visit the neighborhood as I have relatives there. I just checked and had absolutely no clue the location closed in 2019! I guess I'm not very observant.

Jesus, they demolished it and are building a school there. New York has enough terrible schools; we don't need another one! We need hush puppies!

R2, you made me smile. Don't mean to get all preachy but we all need to ditch some our our phony sophistication and get back to where little things pleased us.

Long Island, summer late 70's, they introduced a chicken sandwich. I was a kid and had one and it was the last time I ever vomited. Said I would never puke again, and I haven't. True story.

Marino’s in the Grandview Heights area in Columbus is delicious and supposedly very similar to Arthur Treacher’s. It’s in an old Arthur Treacher’s location.

Isn't Long John Silvers the same thing, batter fried fish?

Only if you think a cartoon pirate is the same thing as a long forgotten British actor R16
