Let's talk about Olivia Newton-John's "Heart Attack"

Inspired by the "Physical" thread!

This song never gets any radio airplay, so the consensus is that most people don't like it or don't remember it.

I hear it on SiriusXM 80s channel. It was a hit song. I like it.

SiriusXM 80s channel fool

Shitty synth music. She was better than that.

by Anonymousreply 3August 26, 2024 1:13 AM

I stand corrected. I guess I never hear it on FM. my bad.

by Anonymousreply 4August 26, 2024 1:13 AM

Love it

I love it so much. This was the first rock video I ever saw.

The main guy in the video --the hot piece of ass with the great lips and eyes-- is the dancer Matt Lattanzi, and Livvy of course married him.

Matt isn’t in this music video

by Anonymousreply 7August 26, 2024 1:29 AM

Matt is in Landslide, Soul Kiss, briefly in Toughen Up.

John Travolta - looks cute showing up at the end of her Twist of Fate video

I love this song.

Heart Attack was fantastic as well.

I’d give anything to have my LP of hers. Greatest Hits or whatever it was called. . She’s wearing white pants and a white sweater.

I loved that album. It was actually the very first LP I ever owned.

Oops. Meant Make A Move On Me. Was great also.

For some reason, early on in a thread I can’t see the OP post or the first post.

Sorry, again. 🤪

Heart Attack, Twist of Fate, and Make A Move On Me , daily, Kroger stores nationwide. For years. Sirius FM too.

I thought the follow up Tied Up should have been a bigger hit.

I thought the blonde mullet was one of her best hairstyles. The Physical Tour was wonderful.

by Anonymousreply 13August 26, 2024 2:14 AM

Tied Up is great as well.

Am still feeling guilty for loving Livin' In Desperate Times as much as I do. It's a late '83 synthfest.
