Haha. You said "Uranus".

Haha.

The blue at the top left looks like an ocean.

Frozen, of course, because it's so far away from the sun.

by Anonymousreply 5August 25, 2024 8:57 PM

The old black/white and gray photos don't do the planet justice.

This New Horizons photo shows how beautifully colorful the planet really is.

Who ever would have guessed Pluto was clad in fabulous TECHNICOLOR!!

by Anonymousreply 8August 25, 2024 9:10 PM

R8, is it really, though? Sometimes they artificially enhance color in these kinds of photos to underscore topography.

It'd be cool if it really was that colorful, though.

Pity it's no longer a planet. ;)

by Anonymousreply 9August 25, 2024 11:14 PM

R9, I, too, suspect it has been enhanced with color for clarity.

Happy to be proved wrong.

Bitch, I am STILL a motherfucking planet!

You can't just make someone a planet, and then take it away from them, just because some nerd at NASA says so!

by Anonymousreply 11August 26, 2024 12:44 AM

It resembles a malted milk ball

by Anonymousreply 12August 26, 2024 1:08 AM

She's an absolute beauty.

It's red, white, and blue, like the flags of the US, France, and many other respected countries.

by Anonymousreply 15August 26, 2024 1:35 AM

Oh! Thank you!

I KNEW someone was saying, "Viva Cuba!'

by Anonymousreply 16August 26, 2024 2:05 AM

Many have forgotten than Neptune is much closer in colour to Uranus. That vivid blue was to show off its cloud features better.

by Anonymousreply 17August 26, 2024 3:16 AM

Neptune's color is stunningly beautiful.

Is this a real photo of Mars, or just some looney tune posting fake photos of the surface?

It's a real photo, R27, but it's not what it appears to be.
