Blake Lively's problem has been that she's trying to have too much: she feels she has complaints against Baldoni's work on the film in which he both directed and starred in, and she's also trying to monetize the film simultaneously. She can't do both--she had to dissociate herself from the film if she wanted to seem principled, but she could not do that and try to monetize it for her brand simultaneously.

Also, she needed to handle her beef with him more maturely than she has done. She always wants to demonstrate her feminism (as she did here with her press conferences for the film while icing Baldoni out and also in her notorious interview with Parker Posey and the North European interviewer) by being the mean popular girl: she tries to get other women on her side and freeze out the person she doesn't like. Everyone has seen right through that as teenage mean-girl bullshit.

R4: She took over the film he was directing and costarring in, and that he had produced intending to make serious sensitive film about domestic abuse, had her husband rewrite scenes, iced him out of the promotion of the film and premiere, banned the cast from being photographed with him and browbeat them to unfollow him on social media so she could make it seem like he was some kind of creep, basically tried to get him cancelled.

She also treated the film like it was a just showcase for her, and to promote her hair products and booze line, and refused to treat the subject of domestic abuse seriously when asked about it by interviewers.

Apparently it all started when Baldoni, who has back issues, simply asked about a second take of a scene where he had to carry her, and referred to her weight. She was highly offended and decided to destroy him.

The contrast between her and her husband’s approach to filmmaking couldn’t be more stark: Ryan is celebrating Hugh Jackman in interviews and on social media, singing his praises, and has done the same for other costars in the Deadpool and Wolverine film. By contrast Blake Lively can’t share the spotlight with anyone, so much so that she actively tried to destroy her costar’s career.

What she's doing/done is FAR worse than what Mo'Nique did, and if Mo could be canceled, Blake should be, as well.
