Republican GoTo Tactics
1. They accuse the Democrats of whatever they are guilty of. So it's vote fraud because they have been stealing elections in 2000, 2004, etc. It's "liberal media" because conservatives have a virtual monopoly on news and have killed the journalism profession. It's law and order because they are looters. It is the party of God because they are cynical atheists. Kerry was Swiftboated because Bush was AWOL. Obama was born abroad because McCain really was. Obama was a religious radical because Romney really was. Clinton's Foundation was a pay for play scheme because Trump's charity was exposed as a tax fraud. Biden was a corrupt puppet of Ukraine because Trump tried to run his foreign policy like a protection racket. The list is literally endless because their crimes are endless.
2. They create a problem and then shift blame to the left. Thus immigration exploded under GW Bush, to be blamed on the left. Transgenderism, originally a plaything of right wing wealthy homophobes and still financed by same. Inflation caused by consolidation in agribusiness and oil. Destruction of the middle class through the gutting of unions, employment at will, and periodic credit freezes. Predatory capitalism to eliminate competition and raise rather than lower prices, built on massive leverage and underpriced common stock. Overinvestment in real estate and concentration of wealth to reduce innovation, new business formation, and create an endless series of bubbles. Overpayment of the rich, to reduce the work ethic to a joke, and make idle and obscene consumption the nation's culture.
These may seem like mere tactics, but they have become dominant in republican strategy, so much so that political philosophy counts for nothing a all to them. Relentless class war against the poor, cleverly blamed on "elites" and "intellectuals" who have no part in it.

Yep. And now they're calling Kamala a communist because Project 2025 imagines purging the federal government of all non-MAGA elements, CCP-style.

These are tactics of narcissists and many Republican politicians are narcissists.

Yes. There's no cure and successful republican politicians defending their position in the food chain do not want to change.
Why deplorables buy it all, is human nature. Many democracies around the world have a constant battle to retain the spirit of democracy with is liberal and compassionate.

They accuse the Democrats of cheating because Trump is planning to steal the vote

Their current plan seem to be to make PA as close as possible, then cross the finish line with the help of the courts.

R9 what do you mean. How are the Courts going to make them cross finish line. No matter how close it is whoever gets the most votes wins it. And yes all absentee ballots will be counted that are submitted by the deadline. Some of yall live in a world of paranoia.

It's not paranoia because the Supremes will make multiple interventions to try to help him.

Poor R11 must not have been aware of the Bush v Gore ruling back in 2000.

R13 I am very aware. Bush v Gore had fucked up ballots. We have resolved that.

We've had 30 years to see the same tactics and games over and over - and the media just reports it without question.
I swear the media (not just Fox News) is 50% of the problem and how we got to this point.

The irony that many don't realize: Fox News WANTS Kamala to win. Their ratings are highest when they attack the Dems and "extreme Liberals". They need to keep up the fear tactics to keep their viewers home and glued to their sets.

I think they started experimenting with voter fraud in the Xavier Suarez-Floyd Carollo election and have been building on it ever since. Not to omention stunts like Rove burgling his own office just before the election (allegedly) to help a Republican in a close race.

Crime! Crime everywhere! Crime is even hiding under your bed and in your closet just waiting to get you!!

Of course the president has nothing to do with c rime (except the ones he commits). But Republicans don't care. It's just a hysterical bullet point they repeat over and over.

Any fake Republican concerned about crime voting for Trump needs to be read to filth. Trump has co-signed about a dozen trap rappers some of which have numerous RICO charges including supporting Kodak Black when he was locked up.

Hannah Arendt on why the continual lying of Trump is a danger "The result of a consistent and total substitution of lies for factual truth is not that the lie will now be accepted as truth and truth be defamed as a lie, but that the sense by which we take our bearings in the real world—and the category of truth versus falsehood is among the mental means to this end—is being destroyed"
But it is more than this. When Bush II's claims of WMD in Iraq were exposed as frauds, he clung to the lie. Not because he was fooling anyone but because his ability to lie to our faces and we couldn't do anything about it was proof of his power. After all, nobody has more power than someone who can openly commit crimes like Trump and get away with it. The sheer audacity of this kind of lying is the point of it. But the people who go along with it: their interest in sustaining this nonsense is not so clear. It doesn't make them powerful. It doesn't solve their problems. Ashli Babbit though that 800,000 children are kidnapped every year in the US. In actual fact the number of children believed to be kidnapped by strangers is probably a hundred if that.
