Seems like a big online subculture, I wonder what it's like.
Is anyone here a gamer?

Imma baller.

I enjoy a number of single person games but largely try to avoid the online culture surrounding it.

Listen to the incel at R2🫥

It seems like people who do it are really into it. I don't have much going on, so I'm worried if I try it I'll get sucked in.

R3 How does avoiding gamer drama make an incel? Aren’t they the ones more likely to get sucked into online subcultures?

The incels are the homophobic straight boys who play multiplayer games.

I was until Sony jacked up the price of PS+ to $80/year. Pure greed and purely ridiculous. Insulting. I let me membership expire and have been reading books instead.

Yes.

A “gaymer”

I only play single player RPGs / Adventure.
Just binged both Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor. Now playing FFXII Zodiac edition again until my Visions Of Mana preorder arrives in the mail.

I have it in my library, R11. It’s ok. I’m not a huge fan of the Saga style games.

Hogwarts Legacy has provided a lot of fun diversion this past year.
Lately I’ve been playing the newer Tomb Raiders, which I’ve never really tried in-depth before.

Enjoying Visions Of Mana now. Could be better but it’s not bad.

Does anyone here jog? Big subculture, I wonder what that’s like.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 2, 2024 2:50 PM |
I like games, but I don't like gamers. They seem oblivious to the fact that there is simply not enough time in the world to play every game, even the highest rated ones. It's not the same world as when there were like 100 games in an arcade and then the popular computer games. It's impossible for anyone to even keep track of everything that's out there yet they have this superiority thing where if you don't know this or that, you're not a "true gamer".

r19 I get it. You think gamers are all fat loads in their mom's basement. I run 40 mins a day on the treadmill before I lift. You must be terrible at time management.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 2, 2024 3:10 PM |
You don’t get it, actually, but ok
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 2, 2024 3:19 PM |
r22 well if I missed the point I apologize, I assume you were asking if anyone jogged as a negative to gamers.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 2, 2024 3:21 PM |
r19 Jogging is absolutely terrible for your knees and those delicate ankles. Please stop while you can and start gaming.

Another one who didn’t get it

Ridiculous fat whore propaganda. I run ten miles every morning and my joints are in perfect condition. You just need to take hyaluronic acid and bovine collagen and it all replenishes itself constantly, like the body is supposed to.

As for gaming, my WoW days are long since over. I play a game of the recently released Kingdom Rush: Alliance once a day and that's enough. Back to vanilla for me.

R16 I am playing Hogwarts Legacy right now! Having a lot of fun with it.

Question for the gaymers. I was approached to invest in a start up that offers a software type therapy for gamers to better their gaming skills. Do any of you know of companies that offer services like this and do you know gamers that would pay a monthly fee to play better? The presentation was interesting but is there really a need. I would think someone would want to just play and not do a therapy to make them a better gamer that costs a monthly fee but who knows.

I'm about to preorder Astro Bot for PS5! Jealous, bitches?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 3, 2024 6:59 PM |
everything bores me lately honestly. it makes me kinda sad. lately i've been playing some civ 6 - but i always quit once it's clear i'm going to win. hitman to blow off steam. magic arena because i like simple draft formats with a lot of tribal decks and that's what the new set is. looking forward to metaphor refantazio, gta 6, larian studio's next game, and that's about it. thinking about trying hunt showdown.
r29 is it for old or disabled people? if it's for sweaty gamers who want to dominate online then it's something to run away from. you can already download a billion aim trainers or whatever for free or hire a progamer to coach you on fiverr.
