The whole media campaign was shit show, I’ve never heard actors or showrunners be so vocally annoying as these people. They were the match that lit fires.

It wasn't quite the 'woke' Star Wars show that people made it out to be, except for the episode about the lesbian space witches, which seemed designed specifically to troll the show's detractors.

It just didn't really have anything to recommend it, aside from Manny Jacinto's arms.

Now it just needs to be stated that the whole story was from an alternative universe other than the one the real Star Wars is set in.

Lucasfilms really has killed the goose that laid the golden eggs by making far too many spin-offs of "Star Wars." It's been ridiculous how many spin-off films and movies it has had.

I worry the same thing will happen with the Star Trek franchise and the George R. R. Martin Westeros franchise.

FFS - people didn't hate it because it was woke.

People didn't hate it because it had women leads or minorities.

People hate it because it was demonstrably poorly written and an awful show.

It's not any deeper or more complex than that. It was a badly written, poorly conceived show that was banking on its Star Wars connection to make it popular and make money.
