1990 was such a weird and, at the same time, interesting year for pop music. So many different songs from all kinds of genres smashed in the charts. I remember that, at the time, Heart were thought of as a thing of the past, and this was nowhere as good as, say, "Alone". However, it became huge on MTV Europe but, that year female sung rock ballads were big (remember Alannah Myles?) The lyrics were off-putting because they went against the safe sex messages which were everywhere at the time. The video was super cringe since nobody would buy those two women in their 40s driving around looking for young studs to impregnate them.
