Where is Ayman?? This is, what, his third week off?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 11, 2024 12:04 AM |
The only good place he could be is undercover in Gaza.
Before Hamas arrests him and is added to the hostage list.

Will Willy be back to MJ this week?

Glad he’s gone, Enough Hamas disinformation on MSNBC as it is. I’m curious about Simone’s absence.

Everyone on MSNBC seems to be taking vacations. Probably because the elections are coming up in a couple months and they will all be working overtime.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 11, 2024 6:56 AM |
Ayman has been on vacation for 3 weeks, he is no Chris Hayes.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 11, 2024 8:06 AM |
Has he been arrested by Hamas yet?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 11, 2024 1:03 PM |
Why is everyone so surprised that the MSNBC hosts are taking vacations? They're all taking their vacations now because: (1) It's summer. (2) It's during the Olympics. Fewer people are watching MSNBC because they're watching the Olympics (therefore, a good time for the main hosts to take a vacation and let the "B" team fill in), and (3) As R6 said, after the Democratic convention, the presidential campaign will be in full swing and it will be all hands on deck through November.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 11, 2024 4:26 PM |
R9 That's what I said at the end of the previous thread. Someone was so shocked that Ayman took a few weeks off from his show in July - August, as though they never heard of 'accrued vacation time' before.
Geez - Bill Maher is currently taking three weeks off, the women of 'The View' is taking the month off, as is just about every talk show on television. Some DL'rs can't grasp it.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 11, 2024 5:10 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 11, 2024 5:16 PM |
Ayman is on a sabbatical so that he doesn't have to report on the constant slaying that the Harris-Walz campaign is dishing out on Trump-Vance.

Looking forward to those silly Palestinians protesting the Democratic Convention.
What freaking idiots. Why did they come here in the first place?
American foreign policy is meant to keep us out of a Middle East war. If one breaks out, who do American Palestinians think we will back.
They do not understand American Politics. You work like hell to get your side elected, and THEN you make demands.
They cannot make demands on Biden now that he is out of the race. Biden's ultimate policy is to keep Americans out od Ukraine and Gaza.
Can't they see that they are being used as tools of the Republicans?
Has Ayman joined Hamas yet?

Ari should have pointed out that Lori graduated from Chicago Law (like Liz Cheney) and was a Chicago prosecutor for years before she was elected Mayor of Chicago.

R25 Doubtful. Outside of Jussie Smollett's imagination, Chicago is pretty light on MAGAts. Plenty of people here still have their faded 'Bernie 2016' signs up in their windows. And traffic will be hell, so I doubt they'll be bothered to drag their fat asses in from the exurbs and Indiana on a weekday if there's no chance of a Trump sighting in it for them.

Lori Lightfoot would make a great Supreme Court Candidate.
As am elder GWM, she channels my inner little black lesbian child.
Plus, she is smart but quite plain looking. She isn't Beyoncé pretty, she isn't Kamala pretty, she isn't KBJ pretty,
She IS Barbara Jordan, beautiful without being closeted.
I love that she succeeded in a Harriet Tubman way.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 13, 2024 9:55 PM |
Sorry, Lori Lightfoot talking about “how big (her) dick is” 🙄prevents me from envisioning her on the SCOTUS, though Uncle Tom’s conduct has softened me a bit.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 13, 2024 9:59 PM |
R34 She was NOT loved in Chicago. We voted for her in droves because she was a strong black lesbian who ran on a union-friendly progressive platform, but she ultimately didn't look after anyone but police unions. Her wishy-washy leadership and piss poor financial management under lockdown was horrendous (particularly her dealings with the Restaurant Association) and she nearly tore the city apart with her inability to negotiate with the Teacher's Union. That's not to say she couldn't shine as a justice, but her governance skills at a time when Chicago needed her most left a lot to be desired. She was not a "working people's leader".

He meant well. Who else is providing coverage of drag/trans issues in the MSM? When is the last time you watched the MSM provide any mention of the ongoing slaughter of trans women? My criticism of the segment was they did NOT specify that it is a pandemic of trans women of COLOR being murdered on weekly basis (and that’s just the ones we know about). The murder rate for this group DOUBLED over the last reporting period. It will interesting to see how MSNBC covers the “Palestinian” protests @ the DNC.

Lucas will replace the racist White Supremacist

Ayman "Hamas Habibi", knows that once the DNC Convention is over, all Palestinians hit the back burner.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | August 17, 2024 2:07 AM |
Ayman is off doing PR for Hamas.
I find it interesting that the US, more invested in Middle East stability and balance, is giving Hamas Habibi the finger. The US will not conduct Foreign Policy domestically when we have no soldiers on the ground. Ayman, so now you know how German Americans felt when we bombed Dresden, how the Serb Americans felt when we bombed Serbia, and on and on. Palestinians have to figure out why they emigrated here.
So Ayman wasted an entire third of his hour to the poor Palestinians. There have been 31,000 Ukrainian killed by Russia, but surprisingly Russia has taken on 500,00 casualties. That is bad invasion.
I am ashamed of the idiot who is ashamed to be an American. How about Palestinians run Hamas out of Gaza? Oh, Hamas would shoot them? Then don't complain about Israel killing 1 Hamas member for every 50 Palestinians. It is a WAR ZONE.
Ayman has to go.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | August 18, 2024 12:58 AM |
The numbers these teleprompter readers spout are from Hamas. They inflate them bigger when actually less people have been wounded in Gaza.
That’s why the Pro-Terrorist protesters can’t get their point across and result to violence.
Chris Hayes, Alex Wagner & Ayman should know better.

The Vietnam protests of 1968 were over American soldiers dying in Vietnam. Americans don't care about their Gaza relatives supporting Hamas. If Ayman wanted change, he would talk about Palestinians waging war with Hamas. Palestinians fighting for their own freedom. Fuck them.

Close to a dozen that I can think of off. How many Asians? 1. How many Hispanics 2? How many Irish, 2? Italians 0. Native American? 0. Be honest, it's focus is on pushing black visibility in the media, which is fine but at the cost of everyone else, is not fine. Michael Steele is obviously NOT a fan of Oprah, at all. This morning on 'The Weekend' they played a clip of Oprah at the podium, They then went to a shot of all three hosts of 'The Weekend' and Symone Sanders blurted out, "We all love Oprah !" Steele gave her a side glance and a smirk and said, 'Yeah, ok..' and then went on to the coverage. Symone had a surprised look in response to his comment, while Alicia just smiled (she wasn't getting involved).
Looks like Oprah won't be a guest on the show anytime soon, so long as Steele is a host.

by Anonymous | reply 203 | August 24, 2024 3:08 PM |
R201 Oprah and WW very publicly parted ways back in the Spring (March / April). As a shareholder and public spokesperson for WW she signed a contract saying she would not do any kind of weight-loss except for WW, or get their approval first. They didn't want to mislead their members.
She went on Mounjaro (though I don't think she publicly said which weight loss drug she took - Mounjaro has been rumored), and lost a ton of weight. She did this on her own, without approval of WW - breaching her contract.
It's no secret WW let her know in March they would not be renewing her contract, and she was being dropped from the company as their spokesperson (which she held for the past five years or so). Shareholders didn't want anything to do with her. However, they did give her the platform to address her dismissal - she just said it was time for her to move on from WW. In May, she donated all her shares to HBCUs (I believe) and no longer has any association with WW. However, there have been rumors since then that she is investing in Mounjaro to create a 'diet aid' with the WW branding, to be introduced to members in 2025 - so she may not be 100% cut from WW.

Raven responded, "I'm a little married." Someone else quipped, 'You're either married or not. If you don't have a marriage certificate then you're not considered married. It's like saying, 'you're a little bit pregnant'. " Raven squinted / pouted and slouched back in her chair.
I miss Raven - she said the most ridiculous things on that show, and had the utmost confidence in saying them.

Miss Witt’s new ‘do is huh best evah! Very nice indeed. OTOH, way over the pro-Hamas propaganda on MSNBC. Obviously Rashida is too close to the issue to be objective. Some Democrats may be sympathetic, but the vast majority of Democrats (not to mention Americans) will never support Hamas. Your tactics are overtly Fauxian, and a pathetic self-own. Americans will not forget the “Death to America” chants in Dearborn, nor the burning of the American flag there. Then there’s the banning of the Rainbow flags in Dearborn. This tiny self-interest group’s hostile refusal to support the first woman of color as POTUS will long be remembered by Black folx, and Democrats. Please do continue to show the focus group (?) by Yasmin Voussoughian though. It’s an unfiltered view of these single issue voters in their bigotry, rage, and entitlement demanding that Madam Vice President grovel to earn their 100,000 votes. Please keep running it, the American people can be obtuse, and this segment shows us exactly who/what they are.

Just going to throw this out there. If a certain host(s) views are different than yours and you don't agree with them, there's still remote controls and other television stations with programming to watch. by Anonymous | reply 219 | August 25, 2024 4:51 AM |
R219 Watching shows / hosts you only agree with certainly doesn't make you an 'enlightened' person. Ayman needs to change his perspective on his Hamas supporting Pro-Palestinian segments.
Instead of all the protests, he needs to ask why they moved here, why they wanted asylum here, what their expectations of becoming Americans were? What sacrifices did they think they would have to make to support their new country? Do they understand that it was American foreign policy that brought them here? I am waiting for Ayman to make the big ask from these new, historically, arrivals.

r224, there is no reason to watch Fox. It admitted that it was an entertainment service and not a news bureau when it agreed to pay a $787M fine for lying to the American people. When Rupert Murdoch himself, said there was no RED, there was no BLUE, ONLY GREEN, he admitted that Fox was only committed to giving INFOTAINMENT to its ad viewing customers.
The only reason not to watch Fox, as they do not provide journalism, is that you are not entertained by their cavalcade of noise making chimps. The people who watch Fox are more interested in having their entertainment choices validated.
Nobody needs to watch Fox.

Rhule will spend the week back-to-school shopping with her kids. She's hitting Target, Kohl's, WalMart - and she will be reporting on the economy and how these retailers fared with b2s shoppers when she returns next week. I'm sure of it.
SO she will write this off as a 'working vacation' and ask for more comp time after the election.

Thank Gawd for Matt Bradley’ s professional and balanced reporting. NBC should never have Raff Hamas Sanchez reporting on Israel/Hamas/Hizboullah. His bias is obvious. Viewers should never be able to discern a reporter’s opinion on a story s/he is covering. Basic journalism. Duh.

by Anonymous | reply 269 | August 29, 2024 3:02 AM |
Lawrence rapped Ayman's knuckles for going over and into his time because Hamas Habibi had to spend his last minutes not holding Hamas accountable. If you watch Lawrence enough, you know he was pissed. He was curr and to the point.
Unless you start holding Hamas accountable, unless Hamas starts publishing the names of prisoners they haven't killed and are willing to exchange, THEN WE DON'T CARE AYMAN.
And stop pissing Lawrence off.
by Anonymous | reply 270 | August 29, 2024 3:08 AM |
And now the reveal, Ayman snagged a minute from Lawrence's glory tribute to his old alma mater of The West Wing. You do not fuck with Lawrence's West Wing memories.
Fire Ayman.
by Anonymous | reply 271 | August 29, 2024 3:58 AM |
R269, you picked up on that, too? Yeah, Ayman really should have cut that guy off.
In fairness, I don't know why the hosts will interview guests right up against the start of the next hour anyway. When you have an overly-talkative person (as Ayman had tonight), they're always forced to cut them off or risk running overtime. The only hosts I know of who don't do this are Rachel, Lawrence, and Stephanie, all of whom conduct their last interview about five minutes before the next show.

Like they're pointing out: anyone who had paid vacation time this summer, anyone who gets 'holiday pay', or 'time and a half' for working today or any other holiday, anyone who gets overtime pay for working past 40 hours, anyone who is happy they only work 40 hours to qualify for benefits, anyone who gets health insurance benefits and 401 K , anyone who gets an annual pay raise - they can thank their union leaders and the Democrats.
If anyone wants to see unions busted and lose everything listed above which unions fought for from day one, vote Republican. Trump and his minions (Huckabee-Sanders) will make sure this will be stripped from you. As Walz said: 'They're plan is 'how to screw the American workers'.

The Democrats have figured the ideal ticket to get a minority elected. Pair the minority with a charming old white liberal and go to town.
Obama + charming old white liberal Biden.
Charming old white liberal Biden + Harris
Harris + charming old white liberal Walz.
It spells Hope, Joy and Trustworthiness.
Those old, white liberals will usher in the era of Minority majority rule.
[Pity they didn't run an old, white liberal against Moscow Ron in Wisconsin and had to shove Mandela Barnes down WI throats. Mandela Barnes, the Malcolm Kenyatta that nobody talks about.]
As for Walz, will he be the handoff in 2032?
Walz/Buttigieg?
We shall see.

In a two minute report on yesterday's "Morning Joe," NBC Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander, in referring to Vice President Harris and donald, identified Ms. Harris once as "Vice President Harris" and six times as simply "Harris."
donald, on the other hand, was called either "former President" or "Mr. trump" six times as well, but never did Peter refer to him only as "trump."
Double standard, Peter Alexander? Let's see what happens when President Harris bars you from your former White House gig come January.

I see Merchan's reasoning that Trump's delays have now brought his sentencing so close to the election that he'll be accused and vilified no matter what the sentence is. All a good reason to move it to after the election.
On the plus side, if Merchan is already thinking "jail" and the Dems do win, it would be a brilliant solution to a wicked problem to have Trump in jail during the transition and verification of the electoral college vote.

Never thought of that before - thanks Billy Porter !

R480 Right the point of tariffs is to make foreign competitors suffer by making their products less affordable, but Trump keeps explicitly stating that the tariff itself is somehow paid by the foreign country, rather than by the U.S. consumer. Sorry if I'm explaining what you already know, it's the MAGA hoards that need to hear it.

The biggest problem with tariffs besides the cost to consumers is that the other countries just don't surrender when a tariff is imposed on their products, they in turn impose tariffs on goods from the US, thus hurting US sales. This happened when Trump first imposed tariffs on goods from China and they in turn imposed tariffs on US farm products really hurting farmers this forced Trump to have to send any money made by the US Government from the tariffs to the farmers to keep them from going bankrupt. However industries or states that Trump didn't favor like he did with mainly Republican farmers might just be allowed to suffer if Trump felt those industries or states weren't sufficiently subservient to Trump.

The Latino who is leaning toward Trump after having voted for Biden last time and the retired teacher really pissed me off. Trump is literally planning to round up people who look like dude and kick them out of the country. The Republicans are banning books and black history as we speak. Neither of them should be on the fence at this point.

Where is he digging up these asshole undecideds? They didn't get the fine print from Harris so they may not vote? Seriously? How does he get away with writing an entire story on stupid people, just to be contrarian? Does he get paid by the Clicks?
How about a story discussing how these people are SUDDENLY interested in details that their man trump wasn't able to provide because he can't complete a sentence or manage a thought?
I want to see Michael Steele do his thing and shred Peters and his story. Steele doesn't put up with the bullshit that Deutsch, Mika, and Molly did this morning. They tried - Mika was dubious and Molly was practically rolling her eyes - but that kind of bullshit needs to be called out.

Yes, I do. They want to feel consequential by acting as kingmakers. I also think they like to be on TV.
They are not smart people - yeah, we can say we know they're not smart by virtue of the fact that they are undecided - but it's more than that. Has anyone ever heard any of them make a coherent case for their position? Never. Gobbledygook every utterance. They have no clue what to say because they have no clue about real life and no sincere knowledge of the part that politics plays in their lives.
by Anonymous | reply 596 | September 13, 2024 10:23 PM |
Yeah, that's what I find so frustrating about interviews with these "undecided" fools. They're never asked follow-up questions on the inane statements they make.
For example, one said that he felt Kamala didn't do anything impressive as VP. But then they weren't asked: What VP did do anything in your memory that impressed you? And that's a simple non-threatening question to have to answer to support your inane statement.
Or, of course, even worse, when they assert, they don't know what Kamala stands for. Like it's her fault for not visiting your house to explain herself.
