But the headline about Desi Arnaz being dead at 69 was from 1986. It was deliberately put in that page to make people think Arnaz Jr was dead.

Desi Jr. had the unique situation of being both the child of two of the most famous people in the world and then becoming a hearthrob while still in his early teens. He then was basically culturally irrelevant by his early 20s. That's got to mess with your head.

Desilu, Too holds rights to images and likenesses on shirts, cups, new commercials, etc. They do not hold the rights to actual TV shows or productions. The Arnazes sold the original ILL shows back to CBS. Then everything Desilu was sold to Gulf Western which was then sold to Paramount. Lucie Arnaz has said many times that her parents selling the rights to ILL was a dumb move just from the fact it's still playing 70 years later. They make nothing from the SHOWS or the Desilu productions.

Because names have historically become Anglicized when people move to the United States from foreign countries. And most opeople do not bother switching back to the original pronunciation because they get used to the new one over time.

R71 his first wife is Linda Purl who is alive and well. The second wife who he was with for almost 30 years died in 2015. His granddaughter died at 31 of breast cancer in 2020. Her mother was born when Desi Jr. was 15 and his paternity wasn’t established until the early 1990s.

I don't think Arnaz would be pronounced with a long A like "AH." It would be pronounced with an A sound like "At".

I’ve got to say..Lucie Arnaz has to be one of the most likeable and down-to-earth celebrities out there. Something went right in her upbringing. Every time I see an interview with her I think I’d really like to grab a drink with her in a hotel lobby bar somewhere. Plus, imho, she was one of the only bright lights in the Here’s Lucy series.

I agree-she’s her father’s daughter-smart and amicable.

I enjoyed “Here’s Lucy” more as a kid than I do now. There are some funny moments but they’re few and far between. Personally, I think even the weakest “Life With Lucy” episodes are better than the worst of “Here”s Lucy”. At least no men in gorilla suits!

"Here's Lucy" always looked like it was on a shoe-string budget. Mr. Hiccock must have been controlling the books.

It's kind of sad neither of them really made it as performers. Also when you think of all the connections someone like Desi had, he could have gone into some line of show business like film/TV production or the music business.
