After saying Britain “too dangerous”.

"Bien Venidos!"

by Anonymousreply 1August 1, 2024 11:09 PM

Says a lot about Britain that they feel safer in Columbia

Do better

by Anonymousreply 2August 1, 2024 11:12 PM

Obviously Colombia is not a country they can visit where I'll be waiting for Aunt Meghan with a crossbow.

by Anonymousreply 3August 1, 2024 11:13 PM

Maybe they are looking for a cam whore from Medellin to be their third?

by Anonymousreply 4August 1, 2024 11:14 PM

[Quote] After saying Britain “too dangerous”.

Possibly due to Colombians not being toxic bigots like certain people I could name?

by Anonymousreply 5August 1, 2024 11:19 PM

Toxic bigots such as those in the US State Department who issue travel advisories, R5?

Colombia. not Columbia, dumbass.

by Anonymousreply 7August 1, 2024 11:28 PM

Harry is sure to love all the cocaine!

by Anonymousreply 8August 1, 2024 11:31 PM

[quote] Ms Márquez added that the couple’s visit would be at a particularly significant time as it will precede the first Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, to be held in Colombia this November.

[quote] “The Archewell Foundation, founded by the Duke and Duchess, is renowned for its global leadership in fostering a safer online environment.

[quote] “The forthcoming conference will unveil a comprehensive framework for creating safer physical and digital spaces, tackling issues such as cyberbullying, online exploitation, and the mental health impacts of these threats.

I'd be interested in hearing a single thing the Archwell foundation has done to change people behaviour online.

by Anonymousreply 9August 1, 2024 11:37 PM

If Columbia doesn’t work out, maybe they can retreat to Acapulco.

by Anonymousreply 10August 1, 2024 11:51 PM

Archwell are so qualified for this....meeting. They are known for their vile squad of online bullies who love to demean and dehumanize children and mothers.

by Anonymousreply 11August 2, 2024 12:00 AM

abuelas del klan

by Anonymousreply 12August 2, 2024 12:08 AM

What the heck happened to the Harkles anti racism initiative? They worked so tirelessly on it.

by Anonymousreply 13August 2, 2024 12:19 AM

R13, Edward and Wallis wandered the world being royals for hire, now Harry and Meghan are doing the same. The Windsors sold jet set glamour; the Sussexes are selling show-up-and-wave “philanthropy.”

by Anonymousreply 14August 2, 2024 12:29 AM

Greyhound glamour.

by Anonymousreply 15August 2, 2024 12:31 AM

I predict Saudi Arabia after Colombia - burkhas are very flattering for the thick-waisted and she could always pick up some more tainted diamonds.

by Anonymousreply 16August 2, 2024 12:48 AM

Markle just discovered that she is 43 percent Colombian.

by Anonymousreply 17August 2, 2024 1:03 AM

Admittedly, Haz thought that that meant 43% pure Colombian.

by Anonymousreply 18August 2, 2024 1:06 AM

Those back-channels aren't going to establish themselves!

by Anonymousreply 19August 2, 2024 1:18 AM

Colombia is the world's largest source of BIG EMERALDS!!

And Harry just inherited a LOT of money!

by Anonymousreply 21August 2, 2024 1:20 AM

Perhaps Harry and Markle could take a side trip to Venezuela and help the people opposed to strongman dictator Nicolas Maduro.

by Anonymousreply 22August 2, 2024 1:22 AM

why yes, of course we accept pesos!

by Anonymousreply 23August 2, 2024 1:53 AM

by Anonymousreply 24August 2, 2024 3:26 AM

They'd go to the opening of an envelope!

by Anonymousreply 25August 2, 2024 3:50 AM

H&M...are they part of the drug cartel?

by Anonymousreply 26August 2, 2024 4:53 AM

Hey Harry, you douchebag...is it safe?

by Anonymousreply 27August 2, 2024 4:54 AM

Are any of these countries hosting them paying for them to have armed security as close to IPP standards as possible?

Or granting them diplomatic immunity?

by Anonymousreply 28August 2, 2024 5:11 AM

What's the purpose of this type of "tour"? What's the point?

by Anonymousreply 29August 2, 2024 5:41 AM

“A tour, darling! A tour!”

by Anonymousreply 30August 2, 2024 5:50 AM

What would be considered the Chanel of tours, r30?

by Anonymousreply 31August 2, 2024 6:10 AM

by Anonymousreply 32August 2, 2024 6:14 AM

They are getting blasted online for their parenting advice on the Today show

by Anonymousreply 33August 2, 2024 6:21 AM

Jane Pauley ought to be ashamed interviewing and giving these two lying grifters air time.

by Anonymousreply 34August 2, 2024 6:41 AM

They can't go to London and stay in a palace, but they can go to Nigeria and Colombia?

Security my ass.

by Anonymousreply 35August 2, 2024 6:42 AM

Will it be a private tour?

Perhaps even part of their Privacy tour?

The UK is only “dangerous” to them because they get booed.

by Anonymousreply 36August 2, 2024 8:11 AM

Megs is allegedly fluent in Spanish so she should be able to tell groups of assorted schoolgirls “you are all my sisters”.

R46... wow... that's bitchy. Funny, but gloves off.

by Anonymousreply 48August 2, 2024 5:09 PM

Goddammit, Colombia. Why invite these grifters?

by Anonymousreply 49August 2, 2024 9:44 PM

Not only is it incorrect to call it a royal tour, it’s silly to call it a tour at all. When any other public figure goes to a foreign country, they visit the country. Only royals, for whatever reason, are described as touring a country.

by Anonymousreply 50August 2, 2024 10:12 PM

[quote] Only royals, for whatever reason, are described as touring a country.

But they are royals.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

by Anonymousreply 56August 2, 2024 11:10 PM

Members of the royal family tour as representatives of the sovereign.

by Anonymousreply 57August 2, 2024 11:11 PM

If she does, R55, you can he sure the costume won't fit.

by Anonymousreply 58August 2, 2024 11:12 PM

They are no longer royals.

by Anonymousreply 59August 2, 2024 11:27 PM

Harry is still a royal by blood, and Meghan is a royal by marriage that's a fact love it or hate it. It's like the Duke of Windsor who despite being [unofficially] exiled after abdicating was still a royal.

That being said, they are no longer working royals, they don't represent the monarchy, the UK or the Commonwealth. They are like Princess Beatrice or Eugenie, royals by birth but not part of the day-to-day workings of the monarchy and effectively are private citizens. Eugenie and Beatrice have chosen to occasionally use their royal connection to promote charitable causes, but for the most part they have jobs and lead very low key lives.

Harry and Meghan represent no one but themselves. These are not "royal tours" they are publicity tours designed to get headlines to keep them relevant. There is no genuine charitable component to it, it's just "look at us" (particularly Meghan in her ill-fitting, wrinkled clothes). Really the only reason the media keeps following them is because "click-bait" and Meghan's status as the first woman of color to marry into the family. If Meghan had been white, honestly, the media would've moved on by now. The whole race thing sells, particularly in the US. And Meghan knows this. Let's not forget she spent her whole acting career stating she was Caucasian and her skin tone was the result of being 43% Maltese (people from Malta, not the dog).

These two are just very self-important, egotist who think they shit gold pellets scented with lavender and wouldn't know an original idea if it slapped them across the face. They are, however, occasionally great comic relief. I'm mean their level of delusion in beyond next level. The fact that they are "scared" to go to the UK and yet go to arguably the most dangerous places on Earth without a second thought and think people are stupid enough not to see the ridiculousness of it. Or how they sue the press over "invading their privacy" and yet spill tea about their families constantly. It is hysterical.

They're going to Colombia because the government there wants some good publicity. Meghan and Harry are going because the Colombian government is paying for them and they will get headlines. Basically there are "hire a royal" now (or as is trending on social media they are Temu-royals LOL).

by Anonymousreply 60August 3, 2024 3:41 AM

[quote] Let's not forget she spent her whole acting career stating she was Caucasian and her skin tone was the result of being 43% Maltese (people from Malta, not the dog).

Yes, Mr. Trump.

by Anonymousreply 61August 3, 2024 3:43 AM

R61. Did Meghan not state her race officially on some occasions as Caucasian? If so, R60 is nothing like Donald Trump. If not, he is.

by Anonymousreply 62August 3, 2024 3:46 AM

[quote] They're going to Colombia because the government there wants some good publicity. Meghan and Harry are going because the Colombian government is paying for them and they will get headlines. Basically there are "hire a royal" now (or as is trending on social media they are Temu-royals LOL).

Hey, whatever works.

And Harry is still doing what he WOULD HAVE been doing, had he been a working royal. So it's just the same as an official visit.

Keep in mind, he's the only one in that family who is traveling abroad right now, and engaging with foreign governments.

I don't think that either Charles or William have even left the UK this year.

So Harry is seizing upon the perfect opportunity.

by Anonymousreply 63August 3, 2024 3:47 AM

It is not an official visit because it has no approval by the British government. It’s no more an official visit than if Barack Obama vacations is Spain. Are you American?

by Anonymousreply 64August 3, 2024 3:51 AM

The difference, R60, is that when he abdicated, the new Duke of Windsor was styled as His Royal Highness, although his wife was denied this style - both at the direction of the then monarch, King George VI.

While Royal by birth, Harry was requested by his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II to not use his HRH style, so he’s just The Duke of Sussex. As his wife, Meghan - the great feminist - takes her title from her husband, which is why she is titled The Duchess of Sussex.

She chooses to call herself “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex”, which she would only be called as the widow or former wife of the Duke of Sussex. If she had a shred of credibility she’d call herself Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor (a bit of a mouthful, so to speak) or Meghan Markle (pretty trashy and a reminder of the father who she has disowned). But Meghan and credibility are strangers.

So now they whore themselves as former royals to regimes such as those of Nigeria and now Colombia. As Princess Michael of Kent once said: “We’ll go anywhere for a hot meal”.

Colombia is way more exciting than boring, stodgy UK.

by Anonymousreply 68August 3, 2024 5:12 AM

R63 Charles hasn't left the UK this year because he's undergoing cancer treatment, but he's travelling to Australia in October. William has gone aboard briefly to Spain and also will be going to South Africa in November. He hasn't travelled as much because of Kate's cancer.

by Anonymousreply 69August 3, 2024 5:18 AM

You’ve been to boring stodgy UK and Colombia, have you, R68?

by Anonymousreply 70August 3, 2024 5:35 AM

[quote]They are like Princess Beatrice or Eugenie, royals by birth but not part of the day-to-day workings of the monarchy and effectively are private citizens.

R60. The Markles are nothing like Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who are loyal to the crown. Beatrice and Eugenie may not be working royals, but they are dependable supporters and haven't had an ounce of scandal between the two of them. their entire lives. Beatrice and Eugenie haven't stepped back or stepped down from anything and are always available to step in when needed.

The Markles are lying, complaining grifters. Beatrice and Eugenie are nothing of the sort. They are lovely girls who lead exemplary lives. Beatrice and Eugenie are still HRH. The Markles are unavailable, unwanted and not even in the royal fold any longer.

by Anonymousreply 71August 3, 2024 5:37 AM

[quote]If Columbia doesn’t work out, maybe they can retreat to Acapulco.

by Anonymousreply 72August 3, 2024 6:35 AM

by Anonymousreply 77August 3, 2024 1:30 PM

by Anonymousreply 78August 3, 2024 2:11 PM

This speaks to an obscene desire to have their asses kissed and play royal. She didn't want to spend her life visiting nursing homes and grocery store openings. This is the royaling they wanted.

If you like these annoying twits for reasons other than hating the royals, please tell me why. Is it because you see her as a victim of racism? I'm not going to argue. I just want to know why anyone would find these asshats appealing.

by Anonymousreply 79August 3, 2024 3:27 PM

by Anonymousreply 80August 3, 2024 3:35 PM

Sparkles went to a pensioners' home on one occasion, and couldn't think of a feckin thing to say to them except "how long have you been here" over and over. Stick to jelly and dog biscuits Mugs, those items don't require intelligence.

by Anonymousreply 85August 3, 2024 11:19 PM

Didn't she also mention that she was pregnant to one of the pensioners? And the women replied "Yes, we know".

ha ha, her conversation is sparkling.

by Anonymousreply 87August 3, 2024 11:41 PM

It is a striking illustration of their arrogance. One of the Queen’s last public engagements was at an obscure hospice. The most senior member of the institution, after 70 years in the job still thought it was part of her duties despite being in her mid-90s, dying, and probably in pain. But Harry and Meghan were too big for that sort of thing.

by Anonymousreply 88August 3, 2024 11:45 PM

Bwhahahaha, remember those pretentious commentaries released from their "Global Communications Desk"?

by Anonymousreply 89August 4, 2024 3:25 AM

by Anonymousreply 95August 4, 2024 10:38 AM

I wonder what interest could this retarded wastrel and the NPD textbook case to which he's married, have in Colombia. They have absolutely nothing to contribute beyond looking for way to promote themselves, so maybe they have business interests in the country? Or else, could it be that they're being sent as part of a team that will make diplomatic overtures toward the current left wing government, so as to ensure that they'll side with the US against Venezuela?

I wouldn't put anything past these two shameless grifters.

by Anonymousreply 96August 4, 2024 11:28 AM

Harold's concern in Colombia is suicide stemming from online usage. He will work tirelessly to stop it, or something something. Brought to you from the man who was "embarrassed" to tell anyone his wife Diana The Second was suicidal from online bullies.

[quote] Former Courtier Claims Prince Harry & Meghan's Colombia Tour Shows 'Why Royals Want Them Kept Away'

Royal tensions have flared over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming trip to Colombia. The couple will be heading to the South American country later this month, a trip many are dubbing a quasi-royal tour.

The news has reportedly not been well-received by Buckingham Palace and royal commentators, particularly given the couple's decision to step down as senior royals in 2020.

This reaction follows recent concerns raised by Prince Harry about his reduced security detail during UK visits and his claim that his father, King Charles III, could intervene in the situation.

Later this month, Harry and Meghan will touch down in Colombia after accepting an invitation from the Vice President of the South American country.

Although the announcement about the trip was only recently made, the Daily Beast reported that it has already raised eyebrows among senior royals.

According to a former courtier, who chose to remain anonymous, the couple's choice to go on the trip despite no longer being senior royals "shows the utter contempt they have for the king."

They also claimed that the tour goes against "very long-established ways of doing things," adding that past royal tours have served Britain's interests and that the couple's trip does not align with this precedent.

The former courtier added. "This tour may well have the noblest intentions, but it is clearly not being carried out on behalf of Britain, and yet they still basically portray themselves as British royals. It shows you exactly why the royals want these two kept as far away as possible."

For many, it is also shocking that Harry and Meghan will visit the country despite travel advisories from both the US and UK governments.

According to reports, the US, where the couple currently resides after leaving the UK, has placed Colombia at a Level 3 security risk.

They also warned that "terrorist groups and criminal organizations continue operating and carrying out attacks" in the country and demonstrations "can occur regularly" with the possibility of violence and fatalities.

Still, it is understood that Harry and Meghan will receive full security protection during their stay to prevent any incident. As part of their itinerary, they will engage with "leaders, youth, and women" of Colombia while visiting places like Bogota, Cartagena, and Cali.

The duo will also take part in activities related to "cyberbullying, online exploitation and the mental health impacts of these threats," which their foundation, The Archewell Foundation, is committed to.
