They did a very nice job of recreating Darren and Samantha's voices. Some of the cars from the 1960's and 1970's are very nice too.
I especially like the late 60's Camaros.

Most of the cars featured in the show were because the car's manufacturer sponsored that particular episode back then. Talk about 'free advertising' with product placement on a top ten show !

I remember seeing that old fart Larry Tate driving a Corvette.

R1- Which was Chevrolet for almost the entire run of the show except it seems the episodes that were set in Salem Massachusetts. In those episodes they drove mostly Pontiac Convertibles- beautiful too.

R2 In the 60s, Larry Tate represented every American man's dream (or what they were told to dream): a wealthy business man who was partners in a successful Manhattan business, living in a beautiful home in the CT suburbs, a beautiful wife, golfing every weekend at 'the club', three-martini business lunches, business dinners, a kid who was never seen (but would be the heir to the wealth), and a sports car.
The only thing he didn't have - or maybe he did have, but we never saw - was a mistress half his age.

R4- Maybe Larry but Darren and Samantha live in New York state. If you noticed in the car scenes the license plates of their cars were all New York plates.

Similarly, for the first six seasons, Samantha's kitchen was furnished with Frigidaire appliances, as the manufacturer was one of the big sponsors of her show. The oven she used was a Frigidaire Flair - innovative and expensive in the 60s. All the housewives wanted one since Sam made cooking look so easy and pleasant.
In the seventh season, the set had to be rebuilt due to a fire in the studio. The kitchen was remodeled, and the appliances were furnished by Tappan which had a more modern look than Frigidaire to welcome in the new decade. No more Frigidaire Flair - now she had a cook's island with a Tappan countertop stove, and a new Tappan refrigerator. That lasted for seasons 7 and 8, and Tappan was the new sponsor.

R6- Your extensive knowledge of Samantha's kitchen appliances is quite GAY.
And I approve 👍

R5 That's been debated for years. The cars may have been registered in NY, but more than once it is mentioned they live in 'Westport' - one of the most affluent communities outside of NY, in western CT. About thirty minutes away from Manhattan.
So did Darrin register his cars through the business address, and / or write them off as an expense ? That was common with wealthy people in the 60s.

R8- You register your cars where you live and not where you work. The episode where Aunt Clara conjures up Queen Victoria in the living room of Morning Glory Circle. Queen Victoria says- Where are we? and Aunt Clara says- You're in New York your majesty.
She did not say Connecticut .

R6- Until I was 10 years old I lived in a house that was built in the early 60’s. All of the appliances in the kitchen were Magic Chef including the refrigerator and the dishwasher.
