[quote] My issue with it is it could feel a little alienating to people who may be neurodivergent and have been called 'weird' their whole lives, but maybe I'm being too sensitive. Anyway it seems they have toned it down in the last few days.
Wokes want you to stop calling Republicans weird

They can get the fuck over it.

Yeah, woke jokes can fuck right off. They're parodies of themselves.

It's a good time to take one for the team.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 1, 2024 12:36 AM |
Would the woke mind if we just called Republicans " assholes," or are they not willing to share their name?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 1, 2024 12:39 AM |
Happy to oblige Wokes, starting November 6th.

Neurodivergent people are not weird. It’s people who want to control other people’s sex lives and reproductive choices who are weird, and creepy, and perverse, so we are 100% correct in using those terms for the Heritage Foundation and the Republicans who support it. They should have been called out for it decades ago.

This is kind of a point I was making earlier. You really don't want to open this up as legitimate issue for discussion, what with glass houses and all. It could very easily backfire.

R7 Radical conservatives have been calling the left weirdos, perverts, and freaks for ages, so if they fight back by using their familiar talking points, it will make little impact because everyone’s heard it all before. The far right prides themselves on bullying those who are different from the norm, so the revelation that they have become what they hate has shaken them up quite a bit, it seems.

The moderate left has to realize that those woke idiots will never be content because their whole platform is based on grievances, just as the right-wing extremist's one.
So, the appropriate response to a comment like this is this meme:

The reason cheeto even stands a chance of being re-elected is these people.
They're as bad as the fundie snowflakes triggered by the Olympics opening ceremonies.

I get it. I’m weird, too. But the difference here is that we (Harris supporters, people tired of the right’s bs) have specifically identified the ways in which their misogyny, homophobia, hatred, racism, fascism, is anathema to decent people. Calling out cultish and ridiculous behavior as weird and silly deflates their sense of superiority. It’s hard to seem fearsome when you’re being laughed at, and this tactic is working so far. They can’t stand it, and they continue to demonstrate how truly bizarre and strange they are, starting with their Dear Leader and his couch molesting VP pick.

There seems to be a lot of people who want to be called autistic instead of weird when they are just plain weird. Call me when you start screaming like the girl in House Of Cards (1993).
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 1, 2024 3:47 AM |
They’re weird and gross. I’ve been calling Republicans gross for a long time.

EXTRA EXTRA. A person in an internet forum said something stupid. Everyone spray your white hot rage all over your screen.
