Josh Shapiro has been chosen; VP will be announced in Philadelphia.

Jesus, this fucking idiot OP posts inaccurate BS again.

She clearly got a D in reading comprehension.

by Anonymousreply 1July 31, 2024 1:45 AM

"A Harris campaign aide cautioned us against reading too much into the first city chosen for the tour ..."

Josh Shapiro is from Upper Dublin township in suburban Philadelphia. If she did not choose him, then this is the mother of all fuck you’s.

It’s Shapiro.

R1 I just looked at your posting history

Are you autistic or something?

by Anonymousreply 4July 31, 2024 1:54 AM

Shapiro is SMART!

by Anonymousreply 5July 31, 2024 1:55 AM

If Shapiro is not the VP pick, I expect he would be there in solidarity for the ticket.

by Anonymousreply 6July 31, 2024 1:59 AM

R4 POSTING HISTORY? How can I check that too?

by Anonymousreply 7July 31, 2024 2:00 AM

R7, ignore the poster then check your ignores. You can undo the ignore if you choose.

by Anonymousreply 8July 31, 2024 2:13 AM

Let's all sing "Never gonna give you up" by Rick Astley.

by Anonymousreply 9July 31, 2024 2:16 AM

It could be Shapiro, but Philadelphia would be a good starting location, regardless of her choice, because Pennsylvania is a key swing state. Let's say she chooses Beshear. Would you expect her to kick off with a rally in Kentucky? If she chooses Walz, would she start with a rally in Minnesota? Probably not. It's possible that Philadelphia was chosen even before she had decided on a running mate.

by Anonymousreply 10July 31, 2024 2:29 AM

If her theme is " Freedom," why not start in the city where it all began?

by Anonymousreply 11July 31, 2024 2:32 AM

Shapiro would be my choice, especially after seeing him with Whitmer. All the others are very good, but not especially exciting. Shapiro is a powerhouse who would energize this race even further.

by Anonymousreply 12July 31, 2024 2:35 AM

[quote] Shapiro is a powerhouse who would energize this race even further.

That's lovely but we really just need him to bring Pennsylvania along.

by Anonymousreply 13July 31, 2024 2:54 AM

R4 you check others posting history.

Are you a stalker or something?

by Anonymousreply 14July 31, 2024 3:00 AM

Yep, the troll I thought it was. Anti-trans, anti-autism, anti-Black... you do the math.

by Anonymousreply 15July 31, 2024 3:04 AM

She's fucking him..

by Anonymousreply 16July 31, 2024 3:51 AM

Andy Beshear and his family creep me out. They just do.

by Anonymousreply 17July 31, 2024 6:11 AM

I would suck Josh Shapiro dry.

by Anonymousreply 18July 31, 2024 6:14 AM

R17 you creep us out. You just do.

Look like MAGA

by Anonymousreply 19July 31, 2024 11:20 AM

“It's possible that Philadelphia was chosen even before she had decided on a running mate.”

Since she hasn’t yet decided, I’d say it was probable …duh.

The pro-Hamas faction is going to be pissed!

by Anonymousreply 22July 31, 2024 1:13 PM

So according to the link at #21, she'll wait til the last possible minute to announce, in order to gather maximum donations.

by Anonymousreply 23July 31, 2024 1:17 PM

I really like Josh but if the #1 goal is defeating Trump, I’m not sure he’s the best pick… and even less so in the wake of the killing of the Hamas leader in Iran. General anti-Israel feeling seems to be increasing in the US. Rightly or wrongly, I think Josh will be associated with supporting Israel’s worst actions.

by Anonymousreply 24July 31, 2024 1:27 PM

[quote] “It's possible that Philadelphia was chosen even before she had decided on a running mate.”

[quote] Since she hasn’t yet decided, I’d say it was probable …duh.

The point of this thread is that she may have already decided on a running mate and is waiting to announce it next week in Philadelphia. OP claimed the choice of Philadelphia meant it's Shapiro. I said we can't be so sure.

Do try to keep up.

by Anonymousreply 25July 31, 2024 1:30 PM

It’s not Shapiro. It’s Beshear.

by Anonymousreply 26July 31, 2024 1:31 PM

[quote] I would suck Josh Shapiro dry.

Hi Josh!

by Anonymousreply 27July 31, 2024 1:32 PM

R12 is completely delusional.

by Anonymousreply 28July 31, 2024 1:32 PM

R25 the reality is that if she made her choice before Philly was chosen as a kick-off then we’d know who she’s chosen. Don’t type so stupid.

by Anonymousreply 29July 31, 2024 1:36 PM

[quote] [R25] the reality is that if she made her choice before Philly was chosen as a kick-off then we’d know who she’s chosen. Don’t type so stupid.

Again, I don't necessarily disagree. I was merely responding to OP and the others in the thread who said she had already chosen a running mate and decided on Philly as the location to announce it next week because it's Shapiro. I'm not sure why you're arguing with me. Your beef isn't with me, but with OP and the premise of this thread.

by Anonymousreply 30July 31, 2024 1:50 PM

Then stop contradicting me! 😵‍💫 ;)

by Anonymousreply 31July 31, 2024 1:57 PM

[quote] Then stop contradicting me! 😵‍💫 ;)

I never contradicted you. You were just imagining it.

by Anonymousreply 32July 31, 2024 2:01 PM

Ladies, the schedule was planned well in advance. No announcement will be made in Philly.

by Anonymousreply 33July 31, 2024 2:02 PM

Girls, girls. You’re both wasting bandwidth.

by Anonymousreply 34July 31, 2024 2:06 PM

They don't plan the entire campaign route based around a candidate's hometown. Joe Biden didn't fly out to Oakland to announce Kamala Harris. Rappin' Ronnie Reagan didn't fly out to one of the five states George HW Bush claimed legal residency.

They make the announcement through the media, and then do a big in-person rally a day or two later. The location has no bearing on the candidate choice.

by Anonymousreply 35July 31, 2024 2:06 PM

Oy Vey iz mir!

by Anonymousreply 36July 31, 2024 2:09 PM

But what about Walz? He’s better than Shapiro, and I adore Shapiro.

by Anonymousreply 37July 31, 2024 2:18 PM

The schedule was planned way in advance- wtf? The campaign is two weeks old!

She would not have chosen Philadelphia if it wasn’t Shapiro, she would have chosen any of the other cities she’s visiting on subsequent days.

LBH the campaign announced Philadelphia and then immediately began pressing Wall Street donors because…

…who might the contingent of prominent Wall Street Democrats might be excited to see on the ticket?

Not rocket science people.

Largest Democratic donors from Wall Street are Tom Steyer and Donald Sussman.

by Anonymousreply 38July 31, 2024 3:18 PM

I want it to be Walz. I've fallen in love with him faster than I did with Kamala. He could actually tear some of the white guy support away from Trump

So, it’s Edwards!

by Anonymousreply 44July 31, 2024 4:32 PM

That gives me hope. If she picks Shapiro, we'll never hear the end of it wrt Palestine. It shouldn't be the most important issue, but certain factions will make it so.

Walz has become my favorite, but I will understand if they want someone younger.

by Anonymousreply 45July 31, 2024 4:42 PM

Did Shapiro actually declare war on Palestine himself?

Biden let Israel do whatever the fuck it wanted and somehow you expected all these people to come out to vote for him.

Methinks some people may have more in common with Trump than they like to admit.

So the argument is that because Shapiro is Jewish he is somehow responsible for Palestine? Giving in to that thinking is just antisemitism pretending to be something else. No thanks.

by Anonymousreply 47July 31, 2024 5:09 PM

If the rollout will be in Philadelphia, that means she has probably chosen Brian Sims as her running mate.

by Anonymousreply 48July 31, 2024 5:14 PM

Whomever she chooses you can be sure they were well vetted (unlike the other side) and would not have fucked couches.

by Anonymousreply 49July 31, 2024 5:15 PM

I wonder if Trump threw out the allegation that Kamala doesn't like Jewish people just so she would pick Shapiro. They probably have something very special planned for him in that case.

by Anonymousreply 50July 31, 2024 5:18 PM

Kamala Harris will not lose one vote because Josh Shapiro is Jewish. No one who is willing to vote for an Afro-Asian woman who is married to a Jewish man is suddenly going to get scared because her running mate is Jewish.

by Anonymousreply 51July 31, 2024 5:42 PM

R50, Trump is disordered. He called Biden a Palestinian in a very weird exchange in the debate:

[quote] Republican Donald Trump has called US President Joe Biden “a very bad Palestinian” who doesn’t want to help Israel “finish the job” against Hamas in its war on Gaza.

[quote] “He doesn’t want to do it. He’s become like a Palestinian – but they don’t like him because he’s a very bad Palestinian, he’s a weak one,” former president Trump said in the first presidential debate with Biden on Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia.

[quote] So the argument is that because Shapiro is Jewish he is somehow responsible for Palestine?

He called protestors the KKK. That’s a no-go.

by Anonymousreply 53July 31, 2024 5:48 PM

Her pick is Beshear.

by Anonymousreply 54July 31, 2024 5:49 PM

[quote] He called protestors the KKK. That’s a no-go.

Some of them were behaving like the KKK.

by Anonymousreply 55July 31, 2024 5:52 PM

Walz is only 60. He just looks older. Maybe a subtle, well-done coloring could help.

by Anonymousreply 56July 31, 2024 6:13 PM

Agreed, R55. Sorry, but if you use KKK rhetoric, be prepared to be lumped in with them. He didn't call ALL protesters KKK, and we all know that. He referred to very specific slogans and visuals being employed by some protesters as being identical to those used by neo-Nazis, and he was inarguably correct in that assertion.

by Anonymousreply 57July 31, 2024 6:15 PM

Yay! PA is a LOCK!

by Anonymousreply 58July 31, 2024 6:17 PM

So, the Democrat candidate (for whom absolutely NOBODY has voted, might I add) will be a Clinton / neocon puppet, and she will be supported by an AIPAC protégé who will ensure that Netanyahu can escalate war in the Middle East into a global conflict. Great!

Genocide Joe has been forced out, Zion Don is the candidate for the Republican side of the political coin and now, we'll get Mass Murder Kamala and her Zionist handler as the picks for the "Left Wing" side of the political coin. And yet, things are not going to improve for the citizenry AT ALL. In fact, they are only bound to get infinitely worse.

I hope our corporate overlords are very happy - they'll get exactly what they want no matter who wins.

NOT!

by Anonymousreply 62August 1, 2024 3:31 AM

Sit out^

by Anonymousreply 63August 1, 2024 3:32 AM

Palestinians are to blame for the war. Don't start a war with Israel if you don't want a fight.

No one is crying for them.
