Insufferable Frontmen: The 10 most annoying singers in rock history

I have never really agreed with any listicle but this one is pretty fair.

Same, rescue-chick. First music list I agree with.

I like Oasis but Liam can be quite annoying.

I would add Chris Martin (he just bugs me)

The dude from Lost Prophets is a whole other level of horror than insufferable.

Vince Neil? He's not my favorite and he sings unintelligibly now, but other than that, I don't see a problem.

Axel Rose is a pig. 🐷 He should have made the list.

There should be honorable mentions for Ozzy Osbourne and Steven Tyler.

I'll probably get shot, but I'd add Billy Corgan to that list and subtract Vince Neil. Not saying he's a good human but as a lead singer he doesn't bother me.

Billy Corgan's got that whiney, nagging voice. So, good choice.

Courtney Love said that The Who really didn't need Roger Daltrey (as Peter Townsend was a proficient singer), but they brought in RD as eye candy, only (Townsend being too "ugly" for a rock band). I think she makes a valid point.

Axl Rose was an amazing front man for Guns N Roses in the '80s and '90s. Not just the freak voice, but his on-stage moves and presence. Who knew that he and Lisa Marie Presley were good friends.

Here he is singing November Rain LIVE (sounds so awful, it can't by sync'd). His voice sounds shot to hell.

Quite surprising that Timberlake didn’t make the list.

Yeah, Billy has a longtime rep for being a jerk. Liam Gallagher sucks and his music sucks too.

Anthony Kiedis is a bit of a douchebag too.

I do think that insufferable and shitty are two different things. I don't think Vince deserves to be on the list (after thinking it over) because he's not insufferable. Glen Fry and Don Henley are both insufferable and shitty. I think Sting is insufferable.

R10, I love Guns N' Roses and Axl but that was horrendous. It barely sounds like English.

Being insufferable as a person and having talent aren't exclusive. I happen to like a lot of the output of some of these men, but it doesn't mean they aren't jerks.

Stewart Copeland, the drummer for the Police, said he set up his drum kit so he didn't have to see Sting while they were on tour. He just focused on how much money they were taking in.

R35 David Gilmour does way more lead vocals than Roger Waters and always did

For reasons unknown, Jools Holland had Al Green and David Gilmour on the same show. Al sang "Let's Stay Together" and was amazing. Jools could only stare at Al with amazement. Frankly, Al's voice sounded like he had a bit of a cold, but Al at 85% is still better than most.

On top of that Jools pumped up the piano part (he plays piano). Then, the horns (3 different players, IIRC).

Gilmour's guitar got lost in the crowd.

At the end of the song, Gilmour acts almost like the applause was all for him. He's nuts.

Jools should have featured Gilmour in a separate thing or not at all.
