A poll: Whom should Harris choose to be her VP in order to win in November?

We have yet to do this as a poll.

I've left off Whitmer and Cooper because they've taken themselves out of the running.

Please note I've not asked you whom you would personally like her to select, but rather whom you think she should select in order to have the best chance of winning.

all I know is that I have a shitton of friends from the deep south who are either democrats or never trumpers and across the board they've all mentioned Pete as their choice. Surprised me.

To win? Walz. He is slaying Trump and Vance for the creeps that they are, every time he goes on TV. He can hit them harder in certain ways, being a middle-America white guy himself, than Harris can afford to. And he seems to relish doing it!

Because the big message of the Harris campaign is generational change, I don't think she should choose Kelly or Walz. They're about the same age as Harris, but she looks a decade younger and they both look a decade older. Obama needed an old guy as a running mate in 2008 to counter the idea that he was inexperienced. Harris doesn't.

I'd be fine with either Beshear, Buttigieg or Shapiro. As a moderate from Appalachia, Beshear balances Harris against accusations that she's too much of a coastal liberal. Buttigieg is incredibly smart and a fantastic communicator. Shapiro might secure Pennsylvania. Beshear isn't gay and isn't Jewish, so he's probably the safest choice of the three.

I would love it to be Pete, but I'm not willing to take such a risk when we are trying to bury Trump once and for all.

Shapiro is too much for Israel. I'll take a risk on Beshear, maybe Kelly.

Walz is the only one who appeals to me. He has a plain-spoken way about him which is refreshing, and a sense of humor. I bet he could keep Kamala laughing.
