Please keep your cats indoors until this is under control, DL'ers. It is easily transmissable from bird to cat via bird poo (and bird hunting)--even letting them out on the fire escape or balcony isn't safe. And if you have a dog that you walk on city sidewalks, you might want to disinfect their paws before you let them back inside. Bird flu takes out pets quickly.

Look. Get together with a few friends and buy some fucking chickens. Make sure they are not sick, and raise them, get your eggs from them, and after they have afew baby chickens, start wringing some necks, plucking them and roasting them. I think it's a great idea. I live in an apartment or I would do it. My friends live in apartments too.
