This is giving me 2016 vibes. We have an unpopular but experienced female career politician up against the Trump machine.
What will Kamala's October surprise be?

Unpopular? Bitch, where?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 29, 2024 3:34 PM |
I look at it this way: we have a kickass woman who doesn't take shit going up against a convicted felon who's dribbling in his depends and slowly self destructing.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 29, 2024 3:44 PM |
R1, she has always been u popular, which is why her poll numbers were always tragically low. Americans dubbed her the cackling hyena who bumbled the border and supported Jussie Smollett without waiting for the facts.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 29, 2024 3:56 PM |
Lord, please give me $200million in unpopularity

Her dog Harper identifies as a cat; a discovery based on Hilary Clinton’s emails found on Hunter Biden’s second laptop which Rudy Giuliani will find stumbling drunk around the four seasons strip mall and crematorium.
Oooh I’m scared.

Americans or MAGA trash? Most Americans don't want to be associated with MAGA or any Trump supporters.

It’s the Harris is unpopular troll back once again.
Arguing she won’t win is one thing. Arguing she is now unpopular makes you sound stupid.
I assume with this OP it’s more an act. I doubt anyone is actually that stupid.

The Rethugs will come up with something lame and stupid, like she had a relationship with a professor in college 40 years ago or something similar. It will land with a dim thud. We already know all about Willie Brown, and no one cares. She's been vetted to the extreme several times now.
They may dig up something on hubby Doug or one of his kids. But again, who cares? People have gotten past the politics of scandal in the country, thanks to Trump's horribly unsavory past. They've become desensitized to personal revelations.

Melania will file for divorce on October 1st.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 29, 2024 7:22 PM |
Melania is waiting to see of Trump wins or not. If he does win, she's stuck with him until he craps his way into a pine box. If he loses, she will file for divorce knowing he will be broke in a few years with all the legal cases he's facing and possibly jail time.

r20, Mostly agree with you except Melania is already paid, upfront, in totally separate accounts that Trump has waived any marital right to access.
She saw what was coming a while back and shook her husband down for more dough for her and Barron while he still had some liquidity.
I surmise the only reason she stays married to Trump is related to Barron.
I’m surprised she hasn’t left him by now to live in some luxury dacha in Eastern Europe.

Not university, high school.

[quote]I surmise the only reason she stays married to Trump is related to Barron.
I agree with this as well, and believe the reason Barron didn't show up at the RNC (with all the rest of his siblings and family) is that Melania forbid it, so soon after the assassination attempt. I believe she totally calls the shots with Trump, during this campaign. Anything she wants, she gets, as long as she (barely) shows up when needed, makes appropriate comments (such as her post-shooting statement) and doesn't rag him out to the press.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 30, 2024 3:22 PM |
Doug Emhoff is out there 24/7 supporting his wife and talking to voters. You will never see Melania doing that.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 30, 2024 3:26 PM |
r32 You can't become California's AG if you've studied law in Montréal, two different legal systems. Pull yourself together, gurl.

[quote] I agree with this as well, and believe the reason Barron didn't show up at the RNC (with all the rest of his siblings and family) is that Melania forbid it, so soon after the assassination attempt.
He didn't show up because he would be expected to speak and he can't do that.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 30, 2024 3:45 PM |
R42, to be honest, our trolls these days don't have the time to vet what they're posting, you know, having to start from scratch, the mothership being in disarray, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 30, 2024 3:47 PM |
r43 Yeah, remember how gooped they were when they heard Melania speak for the first time at the 2016 convention? It would have been just like that with Barron.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 30, 2024 3:48 PM |
Barron sounds like Sloth from the Goonies. They'll never let him speak in public.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 30, 2024 3:56 PM |
Barron should be the face of GOP neuro diversity campaign.

by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 30, 2024 3:59 PM |
Her hair and nails are on fleek. Whatever she is paying is worth it. I hope those weirdos with their Orange clown car make-up out of place eyeliner come her after her on looks.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 30, 2024 4:21 PM |
R32 going to university in Montreal doesn’t disqualify you from moving on to other places to further your education. It does however provide a fertile ground for a young person to experiment and grow.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | July 30, 2024 4:29 PM |
r53 Sorry, but no, this isn't really done in law, she would then have to go to a second university in the US, which is crazy. And I mentioned the DA thing for a reason – she wouldn't have the time to build the career she's had if she studied in Canada first.
It is of course a perfectly valid option in other areas of study.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | July 30, 2024 6:10 PM |
[quote]Melania calls the shots? Get serious. He could murder her and not lose a single one of his MAGA supporters.
He needs her - or the appearance of her - for the general election. Swing voters care about this kind of thing. And they decide this election, not the MAGAts.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | July 30, 2024 6:26 PM |
It will be Joe's Post Election surprise of sending out the National Guards to states who fail to count their votes.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | July 30, 2024 6:31 PM |
Exactly r56. There needs to be a pre-organized, very tough response to those who refuse to support a fair, democratic election. Let them try to refuse to certify. Get someone in there who'll finish the job.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | July 30, 2024 6:35 PM |
Because of early voting the Oct. surprise has been moved up to the end of August, so they have 4 weeks. Next week is road tour with the new VP, followed by the convention, so they have 2 weeks. They're going to have trouble coming up with something worse than the TSF and his cabal have committed. Anyway, haven't we already heard it all? Whore/ Uppity/Low IQ/Border Czar failure. She couldn't even build a wall and have Mexico pay for it. No wait, strike that last part.
I heard she wants to make Oprah, Secretary of State! Go with that one, see where it gets you

by Anonymous | reply 61 | July 31, 2024 4:30 PM |
Why is R42/54 arguing that Kamala couldn't have studied law in Montreal? The other poster upthread was only observing that she'd spent part of her childhood and schooling there and some tales of teenaged hijinks could plausibly come out.
Not that anyone would really care.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | July 31, 2024 5:26 PM |
It's irrelevant. She did not attend university in Montreal. She did some high school and some CEGEP at Vanier College. The education system is different in Quebec. High school ends in grade 11, then one does 2 years of pre-university at any one of various colleges, followed by 3 years for undergraduate studies at university.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | July 31, 2024 7:28 PM |
R63, why are you connecting Harris's Montreal experience to her legal career at all? R32's was just speculating that since she spent her youth there, there might be stories. You have a point that her college degree is from elsewhere, but you seem to be going off track.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | July 31, 2024 7:48 PM |
That wasn't me r65. I merely explained that she did not attend university in Montreal. Merely fact checking.
