Can you buy threads here at Datalounge rabidly raving about someone like you can buy on Daily Fail? You know those sickeningly glowing articles on the tabloid website about how the Beckhams are about to cure cancer, poverty and illiteracy in the world to unanimously swooning reader comments, all two of them. Because this thread would be the closest thing to it.
I have no problem admitting Teri Hatcher is a very fine human being and actress but oh boy the overflowing level of adulation by this one poster is a sight to behold. Is you Marc Cherry? Or is you Teri's publicist? Why so much fawning?
[quote]I’ve heard all the stories about her being miserable but I had a chance encounter with her a few years ago and she couldn’t have been lovelier. My husband and I went and saw Countess Luann’s cabaret show in LA (the gayest sentence I’ll ever type), and Teri happened to be there, seated right behind us. She was laughing and clapping along, and at one point I turned around and said “I have to tell you, it’s slightly surreal to watch a Desperate Housewife, watching a Real Housewife.” She laughed and we chatted for a few minutes and exchanged pleasantries. Obviously this was a brief encounter but her energy was so friendly and relaxed, it had me reassessing all the things I’ve read - perhaps the other three women on that show were the real harpies.
[quote]Nicolette Sheridan was the real problem on that set. It was Nicolette's fault the beef happened - she only had five or six lines but would show up not knowing any of them, so Teri called Cherry to rehearsal because she was annoyed Nicolette was constantly unprepared. Plus, I can't help but feel bad for Teri, and I just can't see her being a 'diva'. Eva Longoria said on live TV that Teri was a loner, meanwhile the woman was battling with her trauma from having been abused by her uncle as a child and dealing with a lawsuit happening against him because he'd done the same thing to a fourteen year old girl who had then ended up committing suicide. Of course she's going to more quiet with all that going in her head. And because of the rumors swirling around that Teri was a bitch due to not being as close to the other actresses, she ended up not getting many offers for different roles after the show, despite having won numerous awards for her performance. IDK, I just feel so badly for her.
[quote]Kathryn Joosten, who played Karen, said that Teri was the only one who was nice to her from the main cast.
[quote]Very illuminating.
[quote]R17 That tea was scalding. Nicolette Sheridan sounds unbearable.
[quote]The actor who played Mike Delfino ( James Denton) loved working with Teri Hatcher so much that he recommend her when he was playing a role in a Lifetime Christmas movie ( A Kiss Before Christmas) in 2021. She played his love interest again in that movie.
[quote]Wasn’t Teri accused of “bullying” Eva Longoria? Well, as someone who has met Eva Longoria, I can confirm she is a miserable cow. I work doing corporate meetings and events. And about 10 years ago, we were handling a group of Pharmaceutical representatives in Hawaii and it just so happened that Eva was staying at the same hotel with her family. One morning, we had coffee, pastries, etc. in the foyer for the Pharmaceutical reps before they went to their meeting. Eva and her assistant then came to grab the coffee and food, but since it was for the Pharma group, we couldn’t allow her to take any. After that, she threatened for all of us to lose our jobs, reported us to the hotel for harassment, and told us “Do you know who I am?” Luckily one of my fellow coworkers was the son to one of the regional leaders of the specific hotel chain we were staying at. But my favorite moment was when she repeated “Do you know who I am?” one of my coworkers responded “obviously no one important.”
