New ABC/Ipsos poll: Trump's favorability rating dropped from 40%, measured in the week following the attempted assassination and the Republican National Convention, to 36% in the most recent poll.
Poor Donald.

Kamala's a 'failure at everything', but has already won top endorsements and brought in eight figure donation sums. Trump is a serial bankrupt and convicted felon who lost an election. The dissonance here is, as ever, staggering.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 28, 2024 1:39 PM |
R4 you must be stupid if you haven’t realized Trump won’t go to jail because of the Supreme Court’s decisions
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 28, 2024 1:39 PM |
R8, gotta love how Trump nearly got his head blown off and it temporarily boosted his favorability rating *up* to 40%.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 28, 2024 1:42 PM |
R11 you must be stupid because he’s scheduled for sentencing in the hush money case in September. The Supreme Court cannot protect him in that case.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 28, 2024 1:45 PM |
Trump is a "failure at everything" that is classic projection. I want him to become more unhinged and just attack from this point forward. This is his essence and it will only hurt him. Already he's no longer the valiant survivor of a (fake) assassination attempt he is just an angry, senile old white guy.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 28, 2024 1:46 PM |
R13, I’d forgotten all about that. Where we last left off, most of the smart people in pundit-land thought the judge would not sentence Trump to a prison term, but rather some level of probation and lifelong financial auditing/oversight.
Still hoping though!

If Harris wins that classified documents case is moving forward full steam and the DOJ will circumvent that cunt judge. It's a federal case so it could be possible to remove the case to DC.
Trump knows it. He will get increasingly desperate and less controllable. After the DNC, he will be all grievance -- "they're out to get me because of YOU, they want to take your rights away by persecuting ME!!!"

Oh and he'll blame Don Jr. (if it's true he talked his dad into picking J.D. I imagine it's more likely that Elon an Thiel's checkbooks talked him into it)

I dislike Kamala Harris, I think she has exactly the wrong political instincts, I’m a NY democrat and Harris is a harebrained SF liberal. She so fucking blew that debate in 2020 that I was literally gobsmacked - I mean, my jaw actually dropped and my hand flew to my mouth. I have never seen worse instincts in a politician than bringing up the debacle that was busing, which so damaged the Democratic Party that it was ultimately dropped.
I hate that I have to vote for her to prevent my life from being controlled by a genuine madman. Trump is mad as a hatter and has been all of his life. He’s the worst salesman I’ve ever seen. He’s a business failure. He’s propped up by malevolent foreign countries. And he won in 2016, thanks to a media campaign claiming that one of the smarter and most competent persons to run in years was “corrupt” for doing exactly what 2 GOP politicians did in the same office.
I wish the USSR never fell. I wish the Berlin Wall was still in place, keeping Russians and other malevolents from running our country, Everyone thought it was a good thing and it has been exactly the opposite.

What probably upsets Trump more than Kamala grabbing the media cycle is the giant war chest she's amassed in just a few weeks. All he has are a few crazy billionaires and some Appalachian rubes.
I'm hopeful that all of this stress will bring the stroke and full on dementia just a little closer. I think I'll go send Kamala another $20 in Donald's memory. 🤣🤡🌊
by Anonymous | reply 54 | July 29, 2024 3:36 PM |
I don't argue with your dislike of Harris, r51. I happen to find her appealing, but, to each his own.
Why, however, isn't she allowed to learn from her mistakes just like everybody else?
Don't we all, as human beings, eventually realize we gained more wisdom from what we first got wrong, from our mistakes, than whatever it is that we got right the first time?
I see her past failures, gaffes, mistakes as grounds for knowing she has learned from them and is all the better candidate for them.
And her resiliency, smarts and toughness are proven because Harris has already done something extraordinary.
She stoutly, roundly, soundly, defended her boss President Biden in those bleak post-debate days when he was hanging on.
That's an easier task when the political chips are up.
But she took on, successfully, the much more difficult one- staying on message, with nary an iota of question, to defend Biden when the political chips were down, if not out.
And yeah, she did it for many reasons- common sense, loyalty, self-interest, but man her vehemence in service to defending Biden post-debate was truly impressive.
It was a neon message of "Don't fuck with me and mine".
No wonder Trump doesn't want to share a debate stage with Harris.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | July 29, 2024 3:40 PM |
^^ my take on her defending Biden is that she lied about his condition. I think she thought he would get reelected and she would become president when he died in office.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | July 29, 2024 4:00 PM |
[quote] my take on her defending Biden is that she lied about his condition
Oh, and pray tell, cite now where Harris "lied" about Biden's condition?
Nobody cares about your "take" on jack-shit if you can't back it up.
And, since you're handing out unsolicited "takes" on lying, I'd encourage you to explain Trump's lies, but then again, the gigantic weight of his lies would cause this website to crash.
