For profit zoo, only open for two month, had a Shark attack Monday. It was a small one, and they euthanized it. Word around town is they treat the animals and employees like shit.

The linked article didn't say the shark was euthanized or the reason. But it was. It sounds like it was in medical distress during transport with untrained staff which led to the incident.
It seems that impudent, distressed sharks, like distressed women with untenable or dangerous pregnancies get the same treatment in Iowa as sharks nowadays.
