OP

How can Succession be prescient when it was BASED on him?

by Anonymousreply 2July 24, 2024 9:06 PM

The general consensus is that Murdoch’s moderate children don’t want to make Fox more moderate; they merely want to sell it. Rupert does not want News Corp to be sold but even Lachlan would probably opt to sell it given its fading legacy media empire.

I believe the most likely buyer would be Elon Musk.

R2, the show’s creator Jesse Armstrong has said Successio was based more on Sumner Redstone than Murdoch.

How is this in any way "breaking"?

by Anonymousreply 5July 24, 2024 9:17 PM

Death match, anyone?

I’d buy a ticket.

by Anonymousreply 6July 24, 2024 9:33 PM

OH, what a shame. I thought the Breaking news about Mrudoch was that he was dead. How disappointing.

by Anonymousreply 7July 24, 2024 9:49 PM

Murdoch is looking more and more like Voldemort every day.

by Anonymousreply 8July 25, 2024 12:38 AM

Why isn’t he dead yet? Jesus these fucking old shitheads don’t die. They’re raised on a diet of fried white wonderbread and lard and they live forgoddamnever.

I want a great white shark to leap into land and bite him in half.

How does one change an "irrevocable trust?" - the purpose of which is to reduce taxes by removing them from the grantor's estate. Because the assets placed in the trust are no longer controlled by the grantor, the provisions of the trust can't be changed by the grantor.
