Armie Hammer Cannibal Apology Tour continues
I'm not quite sure he thought this thing through. Of course the media vultures who agreed to have him were going to create clickbait graphics like this which makes it look like he's about to confess his cannibal desires.
God I wish Larry King was still with us for this.

Armie now contradicts previous statements and says Robert Downey Jr did not pay for his rehab.
I’m going to have to listen to this during cardio, this seems like a train wreck.

I watched this and this is worth a listen if you have a long commute or jog - it’s very long but it’s a very good interview. Piers Morgan doesn’t pull any punches and is very direct with his questioning - Hammer isn’t allowed to avoid a lot of uncomfortable questions that he had evaded on Maher’s program. He also has to listen and respond to clips of Effie and the House of Hammer accusations.
Hammer repositions his defense this time as being a victim of extortion. But he claims Effie was the one who leaked the texts with that goal. That’s already been shown to be false - we know that Elizabeth was the one collecting evidence for the divorce and Elizabeth would have been the one who leaked the voice recording - Hammer obviously wouldn’t have sent the voice mail to Effie.
Could Effie have demanded money later on? No doubt. But the damage had already been done at that point. If Effie cared that much about blackmailing him she would have done it while he was still a busy working actor.
The other interesting thing is that he acknowledged he was living beyond his means before the scandal and he acknowledged Elizabeth was part of the reason for that. This whole thing was about fighting over money.
At 1:10 Hammer talks about a conversation with someone he calls “Clark” whom is clearly Henry Cavill.

I'm amazed he hasn't had access to his family's fortune or real estate.

Until right before his marriage ended he lived on a family property in Holmby Hills. I believe it was on the Armand Hammer Golf Course (next to the Spelling Mansion). When he finally bought a house - which he says he did with a mortgage- he bought in Hancock Park. Nobody moves from Holmby Hills to Hancock Park by choice. I think the family was forced to sell the Holmby House because the fortune was withering up.
The marriage sounds to me like a marriage contract. Hammer was not together with her when he proposed, he made a high pressure pitch. Probably some condition to do with getting access to family money. Hammer was cheating with Effie right after the first kid and Elizabeth knew about it, and decided to have a second kid and stick a few more years in the marriage, where she appeared determined to spend as much money as possible. She had control of the money for some strange reason. Marriage is over as soon as they hit the ten year mark. Could have been the California ten year rule, but divorcing him before the ten year rule would have actually been even more beneficial to her. So, a ten year contract.
Choosing to destroy his reputation upon the end of the marriage would have eliminated her source of future child support and alimony, it had no benefit. Unless it was done to prevent control of whatever trust she apparently had access to, reverting to him, because he could be branded unstable. If Hammer was deemed unstable, Elizabeth could be appointed conservator (or she could remain conservator if she already was one.)

I didn't realize he was so tall (6'5) along with having such a great body. It's a shame this happened because he has all the ingredients of a ral movie star and decent enough acting chops to have his pick of romantic comedies. I'm sure he misses the days when he used to toss little Timmy Chalamet around a movie set for fun. Ahh, the memories.

R17 I don't think he'd have to be that drunk tbh. The texts reveal that he meets the technical definition of bisexual. Be submissive and act like you want to be eaten and he'd likely oblige.
