I recall seeing a statement from the Pennsylvania State Police reporting that he was hit by a piece of glass, but that has disappeared. I can't find anything from the PASP now; Snopes rates the glass shard claim as a lie. However, I've seen analysis of AR-15 bullets and statements from firearms professionals that claim if one of these bullets came close enough to touch Trump's ear, it would have done far more damage than the little nicks he shows in photos (as in rip it off completely, which I tend to believe after seeing photos of AR-15 victims' bodies — or should I say remnants).

The odd thing is that when I search for any information on this shooting, all of the stories are at least 3 days old. most 4. There's very little reporting in the last two days. Like I wrote, I saw a tweet-style claim for the PASP, but can't find it now. There's nothing from them on their website after the initial report of the shooting. There's been few statements from Trump's medical team. The FBI says they cracked his phone on Monday, and aside from that confirmation, nothing about the contents, possible associates, or the investigation.

It's like they're withholding details and scrubbing the internet for any and all information about this.

It is odd that there's been nothing from the doctor(s) that treated him. There are always press conferences when a president is treated for something. I suspect the "wound" is extremely superficial and Trump refuses to let medical personnel comment on it. But it's also odd that I've seen no media outlets say they've attempted to talk to the hospital/doctor.
