The Democrats have let baby boomers and older continue to the party instead of elevating younger people. This was inevitable. Hoarding of power creates a vacuum which is why people are so unhappy with the alternatives for Biden’s replacement.

But the Republicans have ALWAYS veered older.
Young people do not believe the Democrats have their best interests anymore. Nor should they, as the party refuses to adapt populist positions that align with mainstream democratic socialism. All Democrats offer is an anemic socialism which benefits a few.
