Insanely beautiful woman. Solid actress. She had a very good career but should have been great.

Plus, she’s been married to the same guy for nearly 40 years.

No. When I want to discuss someone or something, I make it clear that it's what I want to do; I don't beat around the bush or pretend the topic is somehow verboten so I have to hint at it.

She was highly strung and could be difficult to work with. At a certain point at the end of the ‘90s she got some very bad face work done which — combined with her neurotic insecurities — did her in.

She was good and beautiful in her prime. But there’s plenty more where that came from.

Madeleine and Daniel Day Lewis were at peak gorgeousness in Last of the Mohicans.

The movie drags but they are great to look at.

She did mess up her face but even without that Madeleine was just a good looking mid talent that earned a rep as an onset problem.

At least she lasted longer than Linda Fiorentino

I've always thought she should've played Morticia in the '90s ADDAMS FAMILY films instead of Anjelica Huston.

Maybe her insane looks, her creepy solidity, and her Medusa-like effect on others had something to do with her descent.

But I don't think a long marriage had anything to do with it.

This incident happened in 2016 and I remember thinking it was weird that her husband was there but was never mentioned and refused any interviews afterward.

In the early aughts, she wrote a hot script for a Western with Russell Crowe (then at his peak) attached to star. She had also written herself a great part, and refused to sell it unless she would be allowed to co-star. She ended up turning down several studio offers because of this stipulation, and the movie never got made.
