My 2nd favorite Robert Wise sci-fi film, after Andromeda Strain

I remember Adromeda Strain. Looking back, it could have almost been Covid.

Forbidden Planet is my favorite of all time for old school Sci-Fi.

People still reference parts of it in today's culture when they talk about the monster Id inside of us.

A classic 50’s Cold War era sci fi. No cool special effects and it is black and white so modern viewers just dismiss.

My favorite old school sci-fi is Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

This is a terrific film I think I've still got it on DVD somewhere, Have seen it a few times, it never wears thin

I've had Close Encounters on since I haven't seen it in years. When Dreyfuss had on his tv, I recognized those 70s commercials.

All I remember from that movie is when the alien turned off the power worldwide is that housewife in the basement taking wet laundry out of the washing machine.

I would have watched Close Encounters tonight but it just so happens I'm going to see it on the big screen tomorrow here in NYC with a friend. I had no idea it's currently back in theaters until my friend texted me the other day to ask if I wanted to go. I said yes because I always take any opportunity I can to see it in a theater.
