Why Aren’t We Talking About Trump’s Fascism?

Yes, I know, "another Trump thread."

Everyone reasonable is. The media refuses to broadcast it.

by Anonymousreply 1July 6, 2024 11:50 PM

We talked about it for four years.

Some liberals remind me of Christians. “Why aren’t you thinking about Hell today? Pride goeth before the fall!”

by Anonymousreply 2July 6, 2024 11:52 PM

Oh no, another Trump thread. We should just deal with it, right?

by Anonymousreply 3July 6, 2024 11:55 PM

Oh look. Another Trump thread.

by Anonymousreply 4July 6, 2024 11:56 PM

Oh an OP I think you should know

The author of this article, which was only published yesterday, has completely turned against Biden since his interview

Because Biden is prolonging the drama of when he’ll step aside and that drama grabs all the attention from everything else.

by Anonymousreply 6July 7, 2024 12:29 AM

The idea in 2024 was that when Biden beats Trump, the Trump will go away. He refused to concede he lost the election, he attempted a coup, and never went away, and is now running for president again. Instead of having been tried for sedition and treason we have DOJ and courts trying to either subvert the judicial process or slow walk it. Biden is the best option to beat Trump. An alternate to Biden should have surfaced 6-12 months ago. A second Trump presidency will undoubtedly be the end of American democracy.

R7 Sorry, I meant 2020, not 2024.

by Anonymousreply 8July 7, 2024 1:33 AM

[quote]Sorry, I meant 2020, not 2024.

It’s okay. Even with that mistake you are still more coherent than Biden.

by Anonymousreply 9July 7, 2024 1:38 AM

[quote]Biden is the best option to beat Trump.

You realize that this irrational conclusion only leads us to presume an irrational premise?

by Anonymousreply 10July 7, 2024 1:39 AM

R7 Total agreement. While POTUS, Biden has many great accomplishments. However, let's say Biden had 10 things on his list he had to accomplish, and he accomplished 2 thru 10.

The most important task any president has is to keep this country safe. Biden did not do the one most important thing. Trump and Trumpism isn't just the biggest danger this country has been facing the last few years, it's also the biggest for the world. Biden's AG Merrick Garland gets a tremendously huge fail!

But still, Biden should have replaced him within two years when it was obvious that not only the ex "president", but members of congress were getting away with crimes against Democracy being committed in public. Biden wouldn't have to be running again if Merrick had done his job.

But it was Biden's responsibility to fire him. Why didn't he? I don't know. And excusing it by saying it's "political" is bullshit. Of course it's political. But they broke many fucking laws many times over.

bump

by Anonymousreply 12July 7, 2024 7:26 PM

If you put "Trump" in the search I'm sure you'll find we've discussed EVERYTHING about Trump. Including his diet coke use, fast food, two scoops of ice cream, his skin tone....yeah so anyway do a search.

by Anonymousreply 13July 7, 2024 7:28 PM

R13 Yeah, so Trump's bad health habits equate to discussions on his fascist leaning?

by Anonymousreply 14July 7, 2024 8:21 PM

do a search

by Anonymousreply 15July 7, 2024 8:22 PM

Millions of Americans voted in Democratic primaries this year for Biden. Now you're saying their votes don't count? That's some MAGA SCOTUS bullshit right there

by Anonymousreply 16July 7, 2024 9:33 PM

do a search

by Anonymousreply 17July 7, 2024 9:37 PM

Watch MSNBC. They talk about Trump's fascism. Every night.

by Anonymousreply 18July 8, 2024 9:46 PM

Enjoy MSNBC while you can. If trump wins in Nov. they and other ‘hostile’ media outlets will be closed by magaworld functionaries. But hey, at least it will be as a result of the presidents ‘official act’ and hooray ! he gets immunity cuz scotus says so.

by Anonymousreply 19July 8, 2024 10:15 PM

[quote] Millions of Americans voted in Democratic primaries this year for Biden. Now you're saying their votes don't count?

Their votes selected Biden’s delegates to go to the convention. Those delegates will still be there.

by Anonymousreply 20July 8, 2024 10:23 PM

Will any other Democratic candidate have more delegates that they received from actual votes this year?

by Anonymousreply 21July 8, 2024 11:04 PM

Highly unlikely, R21.

by Anonymousreply 22July 9, 2024 10:35 AM

do you know what fascism means?

by Anonymousreply 23July 9, 2024 8:22 PM

[quote]R23: do you know what fascism means?

Since you frequently post "Oh look. Another Trump thread," it's a cinch that you don't.

Although, as you so often advocate, you could 'do a search.'
