Cocaine vs. Meth
I only have experience with powder cocaine and amphetamines, but I've never (and would never) touch meth.
How is the euphoria that meth produces different from the high coke (including crack) produces? I know that meth gives one way more "bang for their buck," but I'm talking about the actual experience of being high.
I don't use anything anymore, and with the proliferation of Fentanyl, I have no plans to. I'm just curious.

I came across a link that posts deaths from the Medical Examiner’s office for the county I live in. A lot of them are fentanyl/meth overdoses and the age I’ve seen mostly are people in their 50s and 60s.
Carry on.

Don’t even think about it. Meth will result in a death spiral. You lose all inhibition and moral compass and will end up with disease and child porn.

I've only done meth twice. Both times years and years ago. I hated it.
It didn't give me the euphoric feeling that coke gave me. I was just up. Forever.

Why is this the 2nd thread asking about illegal drugs? Writing your master's thesis, OP?
Go find some real subjects.

Thanks, r8, for the genuine response.
DL is becoming insufferable.

Cocaine gives you more of a high than does meth. I tend to have low mood (dysthymia or low-grade depression) and meth made me feel more normal (not high, but more productive and more like what I thought other people were feeling, day-to-day).
For me, coke was more of a party drug and I enjoyed it in tandem with alcohol.

Thanks, r11. I have been depressed most of my life, and I think that's in part what so attracted me to cocaine.

Just smoke copious amounts of meth, silly!

Never tried meth but r11's description of cocaine experiences pretty much matches mine. In my case I was I was an introverted and shy weed smoker but Coke and booze made me more outgoing, confident, sexual.
Coke also turned me into a loudmouthed asshole at times so I haven't touched it in over a decade. People like me better, and I like me better, as the somewhat introverted, shy guy who thinks before he speaks even when I drink and smoke weed to excess.

[quote] Thanks, [R11]. I have been depressed most of my life, and I think that's in part what so attracted me to cocaine.
In addition to my own drugs (meth & coke) and low-grade depression experiences, I've also known (through my job) drug addicts in the criminal justice system. In my opinion, many (including the men) use drugs to deal with depression, sexual assault, etc.
OP, believe me, you don't want to turn one problem (depression) into two problems (depression and addiction). Coke and meth don't cure depression. It offers temporary relief. As time passes, the temporary relief gets shorter and shorter in duration.
On top of that, when I was using, my anger would really sprout out in uncontrollable ways.

R11 If you did meth, didnt get high from it, and it made you feel "normal", I think you just did some really shitty meth.
