It’s actually pretty good.

I'm watching it now. It's not bad. It leans heavily on nostalgia for the original and feels a bit disposable, but so far it's not wasting my time.

Hmm... not bad. In fact, pretty good. I enjoyed it! I like it better than many other Eddie Murphy films that I have seen, and I think those are tolerable.
Eddie Murphy looks great! Kevin Bacon... not so good. He looks like Clint Eastwood (currently) to me. Two of the bad guys are HOT, IMHO! But... it all comes down to the musical scoring of the film.

Jane is a terrible actress and should have been fired and recast.

Anyone else watching?

I loved it, R5, as someone who was 17 when the first BHC debuted! It hit ALL the right notes for me. The plot was great (in terms of reuniting everyone), but the script could have been a little "tighter"? It seems 10-15 minutes too long. But I still thought it was really good! It was nice to see a aemi-action movie with almost no CGI -- all practical effects & stunts. I miss that.

Where the fuck was Nick Nolte? I waited and waited, finally changed the channel to King Kong and Godzilla. I admired practically the whole aemi-adventure movie. If there was CGI, you couldn't tell by me. Not one minute of its seemingly interminable running time felt wasted. While Godzilla resembles a grizzled Kevin Bacon at this point, Mothra was a terrible actress and shoulda been recast! I loved it!
