He's not wrong. The Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society are relentless and they won't stop until the federal government is completely hobbled and Christian nationalism reigns supreme. Personally I find their arrogance and overreach breath-taking. Yes, this plan to take over all three branches of government has been in the works for decades, and it’s all been coming to fruition under cover of Trump (though he has no principles himself).

And I think if they had been shrewder, been more subtle, less extreme until later on they might have won this war. But they’re going to lose it with their unbridled fanaticism and the fact that comments like these and the 2025 plan have actually gone public.

Most Americans may not be raving liberals but they don’t want to live under a christian theocracy either. And red staters love their porn. America has moved on since Bible times, and most of us know we’re living in a more diverse world than existed thirty years ago. Republicans and conservative libertarians have a lot of money and they’ve been rigging the game for years, true.

But they ‘re not gonna win. Most of us are on to them, as every election since 2020 has shown.

The terrifying part is when, in the video linked above, this Heritage Foundation prig says it will be a bloodless revolution but only if the left doesn't stand back and let them destroy our liberal democracy. As usual, Republican/conservative wordsmiths have done exactly what they should to completely avoid responsibility for what they've done, as though it is solely on Democrats to stop them and somehow find a way to do it without bloodshed.

Given the political situation, I think we've passed that point already. The argument I make today is that we're either going to have bloodshed now, in a few months or maybe it will take a few years, but there will be bloodshed. And the further argument I make is the longer we delay the more blood will be spilt, and disproportionately more of it will be liberal blood.

There is no comparable country on the planet to step in and stop our radical right the way we stepped in and stopped the Nazis 80 years ago. We must save ourselves.

We need the Democrats in charge today to grow a pair, and soon.
