Not a surprise, but she's been coy up to now. Her excuse are ridiculous, spoken like a true self entitled rich cunt who only worries about HER own safety. I think what’s most disappointing is JJ is highly intelligent and a judge. You don’t have to tie yourself in a pretzel to understand Trump’s crime. But you do have to tie yourself in a knot to understand how a career judge could equate the street crime of Manhattan, which statistically is at historical lows, as somehow being more problematic than white collar crime and that said white collar crime should be ignored because of so.

I've lived in and around NYC for more than 60 years. It's never been safer.
Overall crime in the transit system plummeted 23.5 percent in March, an achievement directly attributable to the 1,000 additional uniformed NYPD officers surged into the network each day. Another 800 NYPD officers were also recently deployed as part of “Operation Fare Play,” an initiative focused on enforcing fare evasion. The year-over-year crime decrease was led by double-digit percentage drops in major categories: Robbery was reduced 51.9 percent (26 vs. 54), grand larceny decreased 15.2 percent (89 vs. 105), and felony assault dropped 10.9 percent (49 vs. 55). From January 1 through March 31, 2024, overall crime in the transit system was down 1.1 percent (538 vs. 544), compared to the first quarter of 2023.

Judith Sheindlin is a retired Family Court Judge from New York. She knows nothing about election law, the violations of election law and the prosecution of business and white collar crimes in the state of New York.
The only state she is qualified to analyze and assess the merits of in a criminal prosecution in connection with the violation of these laws is the ever expanding self-governing state of her own mind. She claims that one would have to twist oneself into a pretzel to understand the crimes 12 NYC Jurors, some with NO legal background, managed to understand VERY well. Simply put: Dump was convicted of falsifying business records in the furtherance of a felony: Interfering with an election. That's too exotic for Ms. Shiendlin to wrap her scrappy mind around yet well within the grasp of 12 ordinary NYC Jurors.
Asking former Judge Sheindlin to opine on the merits of an election interference case is like going to a podiatrist when you have a migraine. She has neither the background nor the integrity to admit her lack of qualification.
Not hard to understand her posturing here: SHE IS DONALD TRUMP. period. She's a reality star with a fictional aura of authority who has sold her reality show act to millions of people and created great wealth for herself. The only difference between her and Dump is that she actually did have a successful career, albiet a somewhat prosaic one, as a family court judge. Dump's a complete business failure and has literally never succeeded at anything except branding his name. An accomplishment owned more by Mark Burnett than Donald Dump,
Like Dump, she's a self-serving asshole, posturing and pontificating as though she was a Supreme Court judge and not just a few steps removed from Traffic court.

Joan Rivers had the 411 on Dump, she would never have voted for him. She played the game on his ludicrous show for the exposure and to help her daughter. She privately shared her disdain for trump and would not have voted for him. Not only that, but she knew he was a sham businessman who got lucky when Mark Burnett brought him back from the dead.
Dump however, told a reporter that he knows Joan Rivers voted for him. Even though she died two years before he announced.

But then to look at Donald Trump and not see exactly the kind of irresponsible fuckup, career criminal, pathological liar incapable of taking any responsibility for anything is crazy to me. He seems exactly the type she'd love to eviscerate in her courtroom. But I guess cause he's rich (well, it goes as fast as it comes in, but sort of rich), and because he had a successful TV show, he gets a pass. Pathetic.

Trump was "terrific" on THE APPRENTICE? Really??? Does this woman not know the whole thing was made up, and that the hirings and firing were all filmed ON THE SAME DAY? Or does she know that and simply doesn't care? One can only imagine what sort of manipulation went on with her own show.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | June 22, 2024 6:30 PM |
Once and for all, she didn't "dick over Byrd".
In order for her to do her new streamer (after 25 years of working for CBS syndicates), she had to make 'changes' from her original 'Judge Judy' show, which was still being aired in syndication. Hence, she added her grand-daughter Sarah and the stenographer 'Whitney' on each side of her. She wears a purple robe. She has a new bailiff. That was the deal made so audience members wouldn't get confused.
She then started a new court streamer this year, in which Byrd was offered to be the bailiff (and I think two judges from her 'Hot Bench' have starred with her son Adam). I think it's called 'Tribunal Justice' - or something like that. It's not that interesting to watch.

by Anonymous | reply 94 | June 22, 2024 9:08 PM |
Every single person who won The Apprentice did not end up working for one of Trump's businesses. Which was the grand prize.
All of the court cases on Judge Judy are actual cases that have already long gone to court. They basically film a re enactment with Judy as the judge. She gives the exact same verdict that was given in the original court date by the original judge.
She probably hasn't been a judge in decades and is just pretending she still is in the same way Dr. Phil was larping as a psychologist on tv for years when his license was either revoked or wasn't renewed decades ago.
I absolutely fucking hate "reality" television.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | June 22, 2024 9:23 PM |
R95, I think you’re mixed up about the way the Judge Judy show worked.
The cases hadn’t already gone to court, but they were in the pipeline. Producers would contact litigants. If the litigants all agreed they would have the case adjudicated by Judy, giving up their chance to have it tried in a regular court, unless, of course, Judy dismissed the case without prejudice.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | June 22, 2024 9:33 PM |
R96 is correct. None of those cases were decided in court. The show picks from ones they think might entertaining and they offer them a deal. Cancel the case in court, go on TV with Judge Judy and even if you lose, the show will pay the losing party as if they were in court. Plus both parties get an appernace fee of hundreds of dollars. That's the motivation to go on TV. Cant lose.
It's also the reason that if you have ever noticed, Judge Judy never really awards large amouts of money. It comes out of the show's budget which means less for her during salairy negocatiing time.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | June 22, 2024 9:53 PM |
Judge Judy has done many more media appearances and interviews in the past two or three months than she ever did in the whole 25 years of her syndicated show. The new season of her show debuted at the beginning of the year and broadcast half the season through April. It will come back in the fall.
I say all of this to suggest that things might not be so rosy for Judy, her new online show, and most importantly its ratings.
My suspicion is it’s not getting nearly the numbers Amazon or FreeVee want it to get and they’ve told old Judy to get off of her ass and generate some news around herself. A 60 Minutes interview by Morley Safer was what got her where she is today so why not Chris Wallace over at CNN, which is as close as she could get.
I’m not saying she doesn’t believe some of this stuff but I am saying that she’s been in show business long enough to know that being reasonable and moderate never attracted eyeballs and it appears that eyeballs, namely the numbers of them seeking out her show online, are what’s Judy cares most about right now.

R108, $97 million, so just a little more than double a year’s salary, which was much lower than the $200 million the Hollywood Reporter said she was asking in 2017.

Grandma, stop this shit. You know how you can tell Trump is lying? His lips are moving.
Yeah, bitch, I went there.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | June 23, 2024 3:08 AM |
R110 Like I said, they paid her quite well.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | June 23, 2024 3:18 AM |
R112, less than she was asking and to the detriment of her new, self-produced, vehicle. The continued success of her old show in reruns is why she’s having to get out and make a fool of herself to try and prop up the streamer.
As well as she was paid for the rights to the old stuff, she must stand to lose a bundle with the new shows because she used to, when the money was flowing from CBS, not give a damn about publicity.

That's odd. For years, I remember when "Judge Judy" was beginning a new season in September, I recall her being a regular guest on such shows as "Ellen", "The Talk", "Live With Regis and Kelly" (and then whoever sat with Kelly), "The View" (Barbara Walters was one of her close circle of friends), "Larry King"...she never shied away from interviews when she had something to promote. Not sure how you managed to miss all those appearances.

Please, tax the fuck out of this nasty old rich bitch. Little middle class ole me would be happy to pay another thousand per year if it means that assholes like this cunt are forced to pay their fair share of millions.

R114, I’m not a regular consumer of daytime talk shows but a quick perusal of YouTube doesn’t yield many clips of those numerous appearances.
Based on outfits, assuming she didn’t wear the same thing to multiple visits to these shows, it seems like a couple of times for Ellen, once for the talk, a couple of times on The View, once on Meghan Kelly and once with Wendy Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | June 23, 2024 4:33 AM |
I guess a lot of her appearances don't show up on Youtube ?
by Anonymous | reply 117 | June 23, 2024 4:53 AM |
I used to be a fan. But the longer her show went on, the more it became about her just being obnoxious, bitchy, and even a bit cruel. You know, a cunt. And I come here for that.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | June 24, 2024 3:25 PM |
Her “new” show is AWFUL, from the eunuch cunt-licking bailiff, to the unnecessary stenographer, and don’t get me STARTED. oh her granddaughter.
JJ’s hubris knows no limit.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | June 24, 2024 3:28 PM |
She's just like Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz: they are all far more interested in their star power, net worth and ratings than they are in helping people.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | June 24, 2024 3:32 PM |
Her best friend is Cindy Adams, what do you expect?
by Anonymous | reply 122 | June 24, 2024 3:36 PM |
OMG r122. Didn't know that. Explains a lot.

[quote] "Bee Author"
I know of no one by this name. In or out of television.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | June 25, 2024 6:58 AM |
Trumper or not, she's a disgusting cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | July 4, 2024 12:01 AM |
Well Judge Judy's argument didnt age well. She's been radio silent since Kamala came on the scene.
Hey, Judy, tells up how you think Trump is still viable at his age, isn't it past his jail time.

More reality show cunts. Just this one in a robe
by Anonymous | reply 127 | August 13, 2024 9:07 PM |
Lives in Florida and doesn't want to be taxed.
Typical asshole bitch with more money than ideas. I always found her shrill and unfair.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | August 13, 2024 10:00 PM |
I don't hate her because she's a Trumper, I hate her because she's a vicious cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 129 | August 13, 2024 10:01 PM |
I’ve never liked her, now I know why.
by Anonymous | reply 130 | August 13, 2024 11:01 PM |
I never liked her but I hate that genre of shows where you have these supposed figures of authority (Judge Judy, Steve Wilkos, I'm sure I'm forgetting someone) yelling at and denigrating people from the lowest rungs of the society. I can't understand who gets off on watching that. Probably the same kind of people who went to the Colosseum to watch Christians thrown in front of lions. People for whom cruelty is the point and which led us to Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 131 | August 14, 2024 4:06 AM |
She’s a despicable person.
by Anonymous | reply 132 | August 14, 2024 5:02 AM |
Yeah, with Judge Judy, cruelty was the point masked in authority as entertainment. Even her on kids said growing up she was a cunt, with a wink and a nod.
Guarantee she has some made up excuses that Kamala is not fit, because she might raise her taxes. Remember she said Trump was a good business man?

I agree wholeheartedly, I'm only surprised that you didn't mention THE APPRENTICE as another example of that horrific "reality TV" genre. Even though the victims on THE APPRENTICE did not represent the lowest runs of society, I think your point still definitely applies to that bullshit show.

Does anyone really use the stupid pejorative trumpeter anymore?
I thought that had joined trumpanzee is the shitcan of history.
by Anonymous | reply 135 | August 14, 2024 3:09 PM |
To me, Trumpet sounds better than trumpeter.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | August 14, 2024 3:46 PM |
Trumpeter is not going away, it's part of the western vernacular at this point. Even people outside the US use it now. So is something more generic that represents behavior. I hear the word "Trumpian" used a lot in those cases.
by Anonymous | reply 137 | August 14, 2024 4:19 PM |
Judge Judy has been acting very Trumpian lately.
by Anonymous | reply 138 | August 14, 2024 4:20 PM |
Judy Justice is coming to syndication. I think she can't stand being out of the spotlight, just like Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 139 | August 14, 2024 5:03 PM |
I’ve seen some of her shows clips when she started out, she’s a lot more patient and much less combative. I remember reading that if you went on judge Judy you wanted to get her at the beginning of the day as they shot so many shows in a row on a single day.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | August 14, 2024 5:09 PM |
What was she so angry about all of her life, it shows on her face.
That's what I want to know.

[quote] Joan Rivers had the 411 on Dump, she would never have voted for him.
She absolutely would have. Joan was screaming that Democrats want to ban the Pledge of Allegiance. She was MAGA through and through and loved Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 142 | August 14, 2024 5:16 PM |
Joan loathed Trump. Plus, she was dead two years before he even ran in 2016.
People are so easily manipulated by the Trump. lies. He said that she would have voted for him. Easy to make up lies about dead people.
by Anonymous | reply 143 | August 14, 2024 5:24 PM |
Joan Rivers actually said Trump would be a wonderful President on Cohen
by Anonymous | reply 144 | August 14, 2024 5:25 PM |
Joan hated the Clintons and the Obamas.
by Anonymous | reply 145 | August 14, 2024 5:28 PM |
I hope I live long enough to read her obituary.
