Two 12-year-old boys have been found guilty of killing a 19-year-old man in a machete attack.
Shawn Seesahai was attacked on Wolverhampton's Stowlawn playing fields in November 2023.
He died from being stabbed with a machete, and being beaten, and kicked, which caused a fracture to his skull.
The boys are believed to be youngest defendants convicted of murder in Britain since Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, both aged 11, were found guilty in 1993 of killing two-year-old James Bulger.

I certainly think in these cases the parents of these children should be tried as well. Their depraved parenting should be exposed and punished and they should be completely annihilated financially and emotionally.
God knows the devastation their children have brought to this man's family and friends let alone his torturous death.

I only saw the title and the first few sentences, not penury, but the English and thought of little Jamie Bulger, whose murderers were protected by British law, to the extent one tried to evade his sentence for murdering the toddler.

R7 besides this murder and the aforementioned Bulger murder, there's also Mary Bell—the British 10-year-female killer who murdered two preschool-aged neighbor children. IIRC, Bell is the youngest known female on record to ever be convicted of murder; she was released in her 20's and now lives freely amongst the public under a new identity.
I wonder if there's ever been any formal research done on this (the connection between child killers and the UK).
